Yes Sara, Vue 4 will read all scenes from Vue 2 and 3 and you also can use all your plants. To be sure to keep always a saving of your plants, so that you have not to re-install if there is a computer problem, save your plants folder to a CD or some other support. When you need to re-install Vue, you just have to copy back your plants in the new folder. Sorry not to have time right now to see your pictures, but I will go there soon. :-)Guitta
Steve (smallspace) got his Sara :). I don't think he's posted any pics yet tho. Vue 4 will open Vue 3 scenes, but if there are issues with some of the plants used they will not look right. I don't know myself what is going on with the plants. We'll have to wait until Steve reinstalls his and lets us know. There are indeed new plants in Vue 4, but the one's that are sold separately on the site are not included. Hope I could at least answer some of your questions :) Laurie
Ok I have been to both addresses. But I have the following problem : I only see some thing very dark on both pictures. My computer is close to a window and light is quite clear around my working place. Normally I can recognice easy even dark pics, but really, here I just see dark and a bit lighter dark, but not more :-( Guitta
Well, both scenes are coming along fine... The one with the boat, maybe a little low lying fog... I don't know what the stripe is you have down the middle but it could be a problem I had early on with some scenes... The underwater looks nice so far, it'll be interesting to see it with some fish and stuff...
They are looking good, Sara! In the night scene, I would suggest tinting the boat's light to be a slight orange-yellow to look a bit more natural. I love the object you used for the lamp; it's perfect! And your underwater image is a very good starting point! :) ...the other sea plant (free download) does not seem to work. It says I need to patch vue!?!? (I have 3.1) Try re-installing the plant from the original Zip file. Make sure you include all related files that go with that particular plant; there might be three or four of them.
Oh, sorry Guitta, my night scene is dark... and I have no idea, tradivoro, what made that darker stripe in the water, maybe the edge of the terrain under it? I looked at some of the odd lines - in the water and sky.. but to me, they looked like things I have actually seen in the water...and clouds... and yellow-orange color for the boat's light.. goood idea! I will have to try that! :) Fog... a good idea too... oh my! -smiling- this will be fun! Thank you all for your suggestions! And I downloaded the plant again, and will try again...but why would trying to use it from the first install actually ask me for the "3.2" update?? Yes- there is one!! I need to install that also, I guess... Well, I am off to experiment! :) hmmmm so 4 is actually shipping... ! Sara

Hello! Okay...I am excited, I see you CAN order v4 on-line... but has anyone GOTTEN their's yet? Or are the image posts and comments only from beta testers? I would like to know if 1)vue 4 will open vue 3 scenes and 2)If there IS a problem with vue 4 seeing/using the $100 vegitation bundle plants as long as I re-install (what a PAIN!) them from my zip? One of the major things I had hoped for in 4 is all NEW plants, added to the exisiting plants... but they are just "re-worked" plants?? (like that vue 3 tree with terrible segmented limbs?) Meanwhile, I have tried my first night and ocean scene: http://www.geocities.com/sjagh/boat.htm and I am working on my own (created from scratch, not the underwater atmosphere that comes with vue 3) underwater scene.. http://www.geocities.com/sjagh/underwip.htm Comments? Thanks! Sara
