Here is my second and final entry:  Three droplets.  Hope I can get more creative next time.  Lots of fun and loved the entries so far!

busi2ness ( ) posted Thu, 14 August 2008 at 10:50 AM

Wow, the Cow Girl has guts!  to tel me to watch my step, lol! Good entries everybody, Christo, Frankman, Beth and Evie!

PJ you had to better the snails. Flannelman, where's your entries Sir?

This challenge has been a hoot so far.

I can't do just 3 paragraphs. So I had to add this one: Shari, is there a therapy for the 3's obsession? Those who love maths will know about the role of 3 as different primes and also its significance in the Fibonacci sequence.

Okay, so has anybody seen the move The Number 23???????

ROFL

This could become an obsession!!

Whoaaaaaaaaaaa... what a thread! Seven pages long!  And so many wonderful images, too. :^)

Thanks for telling us about it in your upload, Piet!  :^)

Great stuff everybody. :^)

Oh heck, Piet! You had to say that word!!! Fibonacci!  Now if that doesn't get Flannelman going, I don't know what will. He just loves that rule and has tried on numerous occassions to speak to me about it.

Expect to hear from him now... :-)

Hi All!

Finally, after shooting shooting myself in the foot by posting in my gallery, I have found some worthy submissions.

This is the rest of the Fultons - three of them - "The other three Fs!"

All good fun,

Okay, this is my first attempt at posting anything on the Photograph Forum. The world will be watching, so I'm staking my time, effort, reputation and sacred honor on this. I found about eight photos in my archives that would qualify for the August 3-category, and it was a somewhat difficult decision on which to choose.

A huge hug of welcome to Marlene, Clive and Harry! Hehe

Excellent submissions, you rock! Now Marlene, get that camera out and start shooting for this, we'd love to see yours.

A special word of congratulations to Harry: You sure made my day with your perseverance and guts to brave the unknown and your honor is intact Sir!

For Jodie:

Three coins in a fountain
Each one seeking happiness
Thrown by three hopeful lovers
Which one will the fountain bless

Three hearts in a fountain
Each heart longing for its home
There they lie in the fountain
Somewhere in the heart of Rome

Which one will the fountain bless
Which one will the fountain bless

Make it mine, make it mine, make it mine

I left out the last stanza for the sake of expediency.

Look at these entries pile in!  Maria the clarity on those acorns is perfect. Clive, I love that deer paddleboat! Never seen the like of such but you certainly have and done a fine capture of it. :-)

Magali, that selective coloring is really fabulous! You spent some time on that and the small touches here and there are the perfect balance.

Wow, why do I feel so lonely in here? Just me, Harry, Clive and Christo representing the male homo sapiens race but towards the end just the ladies remaining in full force.  :-| Am I allowed to say "dang!" in a forum like this?

Great work everybody, Magali, Elizabeth, Marlene and last but not least Jodie! All showing a different angle on 3. Now my 3rd paragraph:

Three blind snails, three blind snails,
See how they run, see how they run,
They all ran after the farmer's wife,
Who cut off their tails with a carving knife,
Did you ever see such a thing in your life,
As three blind snails?

Okay, okay! They were 3 blind mice in the nursery rhyme.

Piet! Snails with tails?  I thought they referred to it as a foot. Too bad we didn't have more entry space, huh? I had three dozen other ideas for snails and apples.

This has been great fun! I'm looking forward to the end of the month to see what turns up in the "home stretch..." (that was for Clive.) Clive, I really love that race shot! After high school I used to do  little amateur stuff with my "then" husband at the speedway. It was my job to drive the time trials but he always got to drive the final quarter mile race.

Goodness! Just when I thought it could go no further, then somebody enters something creative again.

Good entries Clive and Flannelman. These are colors to die for.

Marlene: Many a separate idea has come to the fore, especially when those who uploaded 3 entries had become so preoccupied with seeing and hearing and thinking any 3-theme, that they just had to share it here. I am amazed at how many people I phone, have 3 x 3's in there mobile numbers.

How about you, any recurring 3?
