PURPLE BITS!

No, I haven't gone mad. Honestly.

Does anyone know how to get rid of this?

Also, I've been having other problems. I've installed all of her stuff, but seem to be missing all of her dials, except for things like scale/movement.

you need to apply a different skin mat- the purple is in the image of the default skin mat that loads with Victoria 4.

as far as missing dials- be sure to inject the morphs++ into V4 (found in "Pose"), under Daz Victoria 4 (just double click on the add morphs thumbnail).

I dont actually have any other skin mats though...

for another skin mat, go into pose folder, under Dazs Victoria 4, and go into skinmat sample res folder, there are a few (sample res is lower quality though).

no problem, I was there once.  I would really suggest purchasing a character here, or elsewhere that has a nice high res skinmat - and will have morphs as well, sometimes custom (which means that they were not done using V4 morphs++, they are completely custom from the creator).  I usually end up changing the morphs, on anything that I buy, but the skinmat is key for me.  You can also do a google search for "free Victoria 4 skin mat" or something to that effect, or try share cg.

I will be buying some more stuff in the future, but not in the near future i'm afraid, I came back from holiday yesterday and i'm a little bit broke (okay, i'm completely broke, but whatever)

Why do't you check the freestuff section theres probably lots of textures and other freebies for v4 floating around, also check out other sites such as aerysoul.com and damapro.com for some great freebies
