LOL at Magali. Great spotting of that three-some. :^)

Hi Piet. Any threes recurring in my life?  Well the three goofers sure get in the way a lot, lol. They're the biggest 3 in my life. :^)

For those of you that don't know, the 'goofers' are my giant Rhodesian ridgebacks ( dogs ). Piet and I both have ridgebacks. :^)

Watch it Flannelman, your softer side is showing... your decorating talent really shines in this shot. Yes, I know...I saw it right after you did it, but it still is one that amazes me. You did good! I'm amazed you remembered your phone number! HA! Now I bet you'll claim there are 3s in your address and your zip code!

Piet and Sharilyn:

Any way to relax your three entries per member rule vis-a-vis three objects in a photo for August?

I've already posted my three and have several more shots in this category I would like to add to the Forum.

busi2ness ( ) posted Sat, 16 August 2008 at 3:04 PM

LOL @ Flannelman's softer side!

Marlene, my current dog is also my 3rd since I could keep a dog.

Harry: Shari did request a relaxation of the rule of 3 entries per member but I think she either did not get permission or the outcome was negative. I suppose they were concerned I may enter all 3 my dung photos I recently uploaded, too!

Congratulations to you, too! :thumbupboth:

Now I see why this thread is so popular. The photo team has made two really great choices for coords. :^)

Hats off  and congrats to you both for doing such a bang up job around here and getting people actively participating.  It's great to see. :^)

So many trees here,  and tree singers to, just like a happy family. The cars racing to the finish! great! The birds and the snails! To much to recall them all. This kind of themes is so inspiring, and I had a great idea for my third one. Tree wishes!! But how to make this visible? I was searching for a magic lamb, the real Aladin one, but is was gone in the mist of time, so, I found a djinny to think about is, and here is my visualisation. You can see, he’s thinking, maybe we have to do something to deserve it, but these are still my tree wishes. I’ve asked him, a healthy earth, peace, and harmony for all.

Its a compilation of   3 photographs, my son in law, the cloudy skies of today, and a glass of beer  all done in PSP ( I had to stroke the glass of beer to get the shape and the djinny alive)

Btw, great snailsong..

I love it, Tara! Three Amigos is perfect! It great to see all these threes! I know we are limited to 3 shots of the 3s and the more I think about it, that's part of what makes this challenge so intense...we all go out and shoot 3s and it continues to haunt us long after our 3 photos are posted. The number of 3s that are possible are so many!

That 3 wishes concept is a unique, creative and really outstanding idea. And turned out really fantastic!

Man, I'm just jumping up and down with this one!  I was thinking about threes, and how Cornelis implied the three wishes in his wonderful manip.  I thought, "hat trick."  Then I remembered this hat I'd done that appears to be floating in mid-air ... a pretty good trick for a hat!  When I opened the file, I saw the three bead medallions, and my happiness was complete.

1)  The term "hat trick" implies that three goals have been accomplished.
2)  The hat itself is doing a little trick
3)  There are three medallions on the hat.

Three ways to get three, with one image.  (And it's my third one, just for good measure.)

Life is good.

As long as we are confessing, I joined in a  2 or 3 forum challenges early last year and gave it up. There was no limit other than "use your best judgment," on entries and some would post 20 or more photos while I only had 2 or 3. I was overwhelmed and gave up entering.

With the 3 entry limit here, it seems to give everyone the chance to enter something without  discouraging anyone. In fact, it seems to be working the other way - it is making everyone hungry for more. :-) I bet everyone starts looking forward to next month so they can get in on the fun again.

I agree with PJ.  Limiting a thread like this to three submissions keeps things interesting.  Personally, I don't want to see 20 images by the same person - it's like being around somebody who just won't shut up.  They dominate the field, and it isn't fun for anybody else.  It's different in a running thread (like "The Picture Below Me," for example) because it's a dialog, and different people jump in and leave and come back, and it's interesting and fun.  I like the limit of three per thread for these challenges!

So, Flannelman, you are saying that 3 other things in your life have 3s? Funny how that happens.  Sorry to expose you and mention a softer side... blows that hard-as-nails reputation, huh?

We had a similar vote about challenge entries in the Bryce forum.... ahem! it was me that started it. But in my defence, it was only because I had heard it elsewhere at Renderosity.

After much debate at the Bryce forum, I can see the need for limiting entries. I get the impression, and of course this doesn't apply to everyone, but perhaps some like to enter more in challenges because it seems so long till the close date, and one might like to keep others aware of their work...specially if they had entered very early on in the challenge LOL!

Well thats my psychological theorem, based on nothing more than my own lack of confidence.......... dhama goes off to get a cup of coffee and imerse himself in Bryce.....

Hear ye, hear ye! To all members of Renderosity! Isn't it about time that Renderosity returned to the classic normal way of printing titles and comments? That is, black text on a white background. The current white text on black is very hard and uncomfortable to read, at least for me. Other Renderosity members have complained about that to me also. If white on black is so wonderful, then newspapers, books and magazines would have adopted that format going all the way back to the invention of paper. Admittedly they do use it, but only on the rare occasion a sidebar may be needed. White text on black may appear arty and chic, but after a while it gets real annoying. And we've already had too long a stretch of that. I've already posted a similar message in the suggestion box and to Renderosity administration, but that was some time ago and nothing came of it. I could use some help here, so if you agree please voice your opposition to the current white text on black page format via any method you deem proper. Your humble protester.

Walking past a garden today, I saw a plant with flowers that could have been from another world. The gardener didn't know it's name. The group I was with didn't know it's name. No help anywhere. I made pictures anyway because it fits the theme of "3" for the contest this month. Once we got back to town I found out it's called a "Passion Flower" and has a number of medical uses. Great, but I took the pictures because it looks so cool. See what you think.
