For the last, few weeks, I have been offering clothing fits of popular items to the GND2 and GND4 morphs. They've been in the Freestuff area here, linking to my account at ShareCG.

It was brought to my attention today that someone there has started to impersonate me, using a similar name, outright stolen the pictures and items, changed the python script that I included (to create empty FBM channels in clothing) into a  malicious script that damages the user's runtimes.

If you have enjoyed or used my freebies, please make sure that you check that it is actually from me: Phoenix1966, as I suspect this person will just create a new account and try again since the file in question has just been removed. 

Makes me a little angry and sad when all I wanted to do was offer something that the community might find useful.

Yeah, I just don't want anyone to have their runtimes damaged because they thought they were downloading something from me.

Jebus why don't a**holes like that just get a real life...sorry to hear and hope the vandal gets banned from sharecg. If you send me a private IM with the culptrits name I could get your concerns to jumpy's attention as she has a 'sorta' relationship business wise with the head honcho over there and maybe have a bit more weight behind getting them banned.. ...

Sheesh!!! I have a bunch of freebies there too. Hope the idiot doesn't take a notion to impersonate more folks. Well I'm looking into getting hosting at another site with lots of space so I will probably move mine. Hope you get the (@$#%#%$^) fried!

A real pity this is happening to them as, I as a Moderator having to approve all this great stuff, find it the fastest and least problematic of the free sites...no frigging countdowns or sign up and believe me they got old instantly *heh heh heh,Slips back outa grumpy mode...*I have requested an Admin look into this from our side, like maybe getting the dud banned from sharecg as well...they should be able to filter that I'd think.. ...

But I am hesitant to post any new ones, because he'll just do it again. And I liked ShareCG because it was easy and free to upload, and didn't require people to join to download or have any of those annoying pop-ups... 

Phoenix1966, if you are scared or hesitant to post any new ones, then the maggot has won.  The only way to defeat this scum is to be defiant of him/her. You can still post it here on Renderosity. That maggot would not dare to copy or do anything in such a vigilant and secure environment.

This is part of the reason why I don't post my freebies on other sites, I have had this happen in the past also with my light script. This is also why my freebies are members only on my website.

I've posted a couple of new ones over there yesterday, minus the python script, told folks how they can obtain it if they need it, etc. and all that's happened are some low ratings appeared. So maybe that was "him" taking a little jab at me. As long as no one's runtimes are damaged in "my" name, that's fine with me.

Glad to see that you are standing up to the maggot. This is a sure sign that you're successful... Someone is very envious of your good works. Keep it up!
