Ok, so in Poser 7 I used a magnet to eliminate poke-through on a bikini top. now what is it that I do? I have the magnet and all it's "children" showing.

Hi Art, 😄

Here's what to do next ...

  1. Select the body part that has been deformed with the magnet(s) ...
  2. Use the [menu] "Object" >>> "Spawn Morph Target" (name the morph, e.g., "bikinitop")

Now the "Morph" will appear as a new parameter dial for that body part.

  1. Select the Magnet (or Base, or Zone) and DELETE the magnet(s)

After you have deleted the magnet(s) ...
The deformations will disappear until you set the (new) "Morph" parameter dial to 1.000
(or any other setting that you want).

Repeat the steps above for any other body parts that have been deformed.

While we have you here.

I am attempting to convert a v4Hair (Free Boy Hair for v4) to a F2Male.
With x,y,z I can get a pretty good fit.

It is however too wide (x axis) for his head in way of the area over his ears and sideburns.

There are no seperate zones in the Boy hair.

How would you set up a Magnet or Magnets to bring both sides of the hair in towards the head?

Something like bending the base of the magnet forks inward.

I pick this up recently but haven't had a chance to play with it.  Maybe it would be better to scale the entire hair smaller then pull the x axis out rather than in.  Pulling in might create a dent effect.

@  mariner

One could use the Grouping Tool to make a separate group (or groups) within the hair prop and then use a magnet to affect only that group.

Hmmm ... is it time for another Magnet tut? 😄

ockham has in freestuff a little script that fixes poke-through in most cases with the click of a button.

Do you know how it works on boots? Have a set of shoes where the heels of the feet poke thru after conforming. This is something of a pain in backside for me.

Try making the feet invisible if the rest of the leg is hidden by trousers.
