Vue Infinite, iirc, duplicates are semi instances, they shouldn't take up much memory iirc? :)

Hi, the Vue community here is very helpful so I figure if anyone can find an answer to my problem then it will be here.
What I am doing is creating a row of individual trees evenly spaced.
I can do it successfully using the "Distribute" feature, but since this feature copies full versions of the trees and not "clones' or "instances" it is very memory intensive.
So my question is there any way to create a line or row of single trees using another method?
Do you think it could be done using an ecosystem and a distribution map or possibly the "Function Editor"?
Thanks
