Correct me if I'm wrong, but I always thought that .JPGs were meant to be use with an image editor like photoshop.

Most images used for commercial Poser / D|S product textures are jpg images.
Can you post a link to the product you have and show what you are trying to do with it? And maybe a shot of what you have so far, with your Mat Room setting?
I may not be able to help you myself, but someone surely will if we can see your image, and what you are doing "wrong", if I may put it that way.

I bought some Awesome seamless tiles in jpg format here at RMP and I saw in the promo how beautiful they looked on the clothe items used on.
Now I wonder, how can I make them to work in the Material room.
I have tried but it looks horrible,just flat and shiny and does not have the lovely texture anymore.
Can anyone help?
I do hope I have phrased the question correctly.
