Subject: Include/Exclude lists

gkmotu ( ) posted Sat, 01 November 2008 at 6:27 AM · edited Tue, 04 February 2025 at 10:45 PM

Ive baked some AO to my maps on props in max
I dont want to make mutible passes to solve this.
Where is the include/exclude lists for AO in Vue?

As far as I know, this doesn't exist in Vue. Ambient occlusion is a general feature of the lighting model, not a particular setting of materials.

You can disable indirect lighting on a per material basis in the advanced material editor, upper right corner. This will prevent AO, but not direct shadows from any source light.

I am well aware what AO is.
Ambient occlusion is not controled by materials but by pr object in general Rutra
though -
You can have special shaders that couter than but thats not every render that supports that.
Some renders has AO maps and does not need a general AO switch.

Thank you,

Its deffinalty something they should look into, espessially when you comp alot of stuff

Thanks bruno021

!

Direct shadows are needed.

General includ/exclude list are still better tho. lets see what we have to play with in vue7 xstream
