Very informative. I'm a little bit confused with the steps myself, but I shall get it one way or another...
So let me get this right, I can make the pants conform and I can pick what body part I want to simulate. Hmm, I'll try that. Never done it before, as I been so spoiled with dynamic clothing (which I like better than conforming). I tried Dynamic Cloth so many times in one of my creations, and I have had great results in doing dresses, but like pants for example, the results are not so great.
Wow, I thought Hybrid was the deal of the day, oh well...

Well... yes you can but you are not gonna like the results in most cases.
If you clothify body part which is surrounded by others like chest or abdomen it will be one big "disaster".
This should be used to "loose ends" like sleves or the ending of trousers (don't know english name for that, sorry).
I'm still playing around this as WIP at this moment.

Sure it can work.Whatever part of the clothing is going to be dynamic should be all one group, and should not conform, otherwise you get double action. This can be done either by giving the dynamic part a name which is not part of the base figure's hierarchy, or by stripping all the influencing channels out of the appropriate actor's section in the CR2. As far as I know, you can have several dynamic parts per garment, although they have to be simulated separately of course.
Another point to be aware of is that the collision depth and offset figures should match the clearance between the conforming parts and the figure, or you'll tend to get an ugly looking "step" where they join.

I just been thinking, is there any way to make a clothing conform and combine it with some dynamic... The reason I'm asking because I remember SVDL doing a dress which was part conform and part dynamic and I also remember hearing that it's something of a hybrid. I made some pants as shown here and while making it conform, its pants leg just tears just below the feet and the shin. I just like to know how to make -- possibly the hip conform and make her legs and shin and down the pants leg dynamic. So many possibilities but nowhere to turn. If only I can get some pointers from SVDL or someone who knows.
Anyway, I made shorts, so it wouldn't be an problems conforming it.
Again, just a thought. If someone knows, I'd love some suggestions.
