--------------- A life?! Cool!! Where do I download one of those?---------------
Hi, Ordered Vue 4 a few days ago but have not recieved it yet...but i sure allready like Vue after playing with the version 3 demo...and after looking at all the pictures in this forum. But,...no oak or birch..or pine?....please, we people up here in the north need those trees!!!...have you ever seen a palmtree growing in the scandinavian mountains? Enjoy Sunshine in Life / Ole
Just remeber that solid growth is not your only source for trees. Vue4's Alpha primitive makes setting up posterboard trees a snap...and Vue4's fast render engine can easily handle high polygon models, such as the 42 meg pine tree from the Dosch "Natural Objects" collection. There are plenty of good freebee trees available from places like 3Dcafe.com and 3DPlants.com. On top of all that, E-On sells extra solid growth trees such as their Walnut, Orange (with fruit), Sonneratia, Poplar and Winter Pear Tree. Put them all together and you should have all your bases covered ;) -SMT
I'd rather stay in my lane than lay in my stain!
I guess I could paint some nice 2D trees with my Jungle Bundle for Painter but it's not the same. Feels a bit like cheating... ;) External 3D models have to be really big too if you want any detail and then there's the texturing... I'm counting on E-on will release new trees optimized for Vue 4 on their web later, free ones or not... (I tried to logon to the download service with my Vue4 password but it wouldn't work...) /J

*Very* nice image, Jesper! :) Changing the materials of the SolidGrowth veggies is another way of expanding the possibilities. Bernie has some alternate materials available in the free stuff here, and I have a bunch on my website (for v.3 and 4). I've also got some tutorials for getting the most "mileage" from the trees. :) Varian -- Treasures d'EspritThis site uses cookies to deliver the best experience.
