Subject: Restarting an Animation Render

dphoadley ( ) posted Mon, 03 November 2008 at 2:45 AM · edited Thu, 26 December 2024 at 5:05 PM

I'm rendering a 999 frame animation in Poser 5, each as an individual png fro assembly after completion.  At frame 176, Poser froze and refused to render.  After closing Poser, and reopening it, I can't seem to restart the render from where I left off, and Poser wants to rerender everything from the beginning.  I've tried to retime it, and to change the range on resampling Keyframes.  What must I do, as I do know that this is doable.  Any and all suggestions will be welcome.

Don't know about p5 but in p7 there is a "time span" option in "movie settings" window where you can set  the range for output animation (start frame and end frame).

I did find a way, but it was by altering the time sequence, rather than the frame range as in 3ds Max, etc.  Much more trickier.

from the image pallette set the slider to frame 177, then from the animation menu hit make movie, set sequence type to :image files" and press start

This is P7 but I'm almost sure that in P5 was very similar. As I remember you have acces to this window from "make movie" and "render setting".
