Subject: First Crash Since the Patch

EdW ( ) posted Mon, 25 June 2001 at 12:21 AM · edited Fri, 31 January 2025 at 8:55 AM

Just had Carrara crash for the first time since I applied the patch. I was trying to ungroup some objects that I had grouped while I was working on them. Carrara locked up..computer locked up.. had to shut it off and reboot. I should have known it was going to happen... Carrara got real sluggish just before it locked up. Anyway just thought I'd vent for a few minutes while I rebooted my other machine. Ed

I hope this isn't a sign of things to come! I hope it was a one time thing(my fingers are crossed) because the project I'm working on now is going to be huge when I'm done, and I'll have tons of objects grouped together. Lets hope things work out for both of us.

Mine crashed on start up. Came up nil error, cancel or ok. I had to alt+ctrl and delete to get out of it. Then I started it up again and the menus were all over the place and I couldn`t get 2 of them to move so I had to delete the program and reinstall.

I still get a lot of "rendering failed". Anybody else?

I had about 3 crashes with the patch to date. Havn't noticed any consitency yet with them though & it may be an extension conflict (MAC OS 8.6 & 9.0.4)

Same with me: on my Dell Inspiron 8000 nothing but crashes. I cannot get it run. "An unexpected error occurred" and then R.I.P. and Windows restart. I wonder what the patch is really for?
