Subject: European, Paypal, Dollar instead of Euro?

Tiny ( ) posted Wed, 05 November 2008 at 7:47 AM · edited Tue, 24 December 2024 at 11:54 AM

To avoid the extra exchange cost at Paypal I figured it'd be good if I could order Vue7i d-load in dollar.
But how does that work when living in Europe and also having a VAT number?
Anyone have similar situation or know anything about this?
I have sent a Q to Vue-site too but figured they may have a bunch to do at the moment. 😄

I live in Eastern Europe at the moment, and formerly Malaysia and had no problems using PayPal to purchase Vue products.

Did you order at e-on with Euros? Did Paypal charge exchange rate between Euro and dollar?

I ordered in Euros and paypal converted to euros. The dollar value was $395 and I payed 312€, exchange rate was 1.26522.
