Bruno is right and I would like to add that this is enforced in practice by e-on's registration method. When you install Vue on a machine, it'll give you the installation code, which you then have to take to their site and get an activation code. Only then the software will run normally. If you install Vue on a second machine, you'll get another installation code but when you try to obtain the activation code, it'll tell you that this serial number is already registered and can not be registered twice. So, you have to contact e-on and tell them your situation and then they'll allow for a second activation code.
Note: in case you were wondering, you can not use the same activation code on both machines because this is linked to the installation code, which is different for both machines, although the serial number is the same.
Hi All.
Just a quick note to say that I didn't have to contact E-on in the end. I installed Infinity on my main PC first and went though the automatic registration. Rebooted and then went off and installed it on my Laptop eactly as I did on my main PC.
I was automatically issued my activation number for laptop too :-)
Just letting people know in case this comes up again at some point.
Regards.
James.

That's not true, according to Dave, creator of SkinVue. We exchanged a few posts in a thread in C3D, in the Store Talk forum, because I was under the same impression as you but he told me that the update to SkinVue7 is not necessary. I mean, SkinVue7 has some nice new features but SkinVue6 still runs in Vue7, it's just necessary to run a fix. I didn't try it yet.

Hi all.
No doubt someone one will think this is a stupid question but since this is the first time I've come across this, I have to ask. Sorry.
I've just upgraded fro Vue6 Pro studio to Infinity 7 and I want to install the program on my laptop to just mess around with it right now, but I have intentions of using it on my main PC the weekend for all my work going forward.
So my question is, what the heck is node locked registration and does this tie me down to using Vue on my main PC only. Like if I install in on my laptop now, will I be screwed the weekend when I install it on the PC I intend on using it with ?.
Regards.
James.
