By-the-way, the newest plugin: Avi-to-AnimatedBrush, seems to work with PD 2 as well.
www.dogwaffle.info/pdpro/tutorials/avi2animbrush

Of course this is great for compositing Poser walk sequences and such, integrating looping animations into a more complex video clip. You can easily render a dinosaur like Trex running along against Bluescreen and then another ncharacter and thyen composite the two together. Even have multiple T-Rexes in the final output.

Awesome news...it's nice to be fore warned so I don't miss this, altho I'd find out on the 4th I guess from the newsletter...gives me  reason to get up on the 4th, or at least stay up late on the 3rd till my e mail from GOTW arrives.. ...

Once in a while I look around,
I see a sound
and try to write it down
Sometimes they come out very soft
Tinkling light sound
The Sun comes up again

There's no OSX version, sorry. This Windows only.

However, perhaps it works with CrossOver? Or use Parallels desktop for Mac, or VmWare' Fusion?

No BS with serials,.... in fact no serials either LOL

we don't do serials. We just keep track of who buys and where. The rest is up to everyone's own conscience.

The only requirement with giveawayoftheday.com is that you download AND install it within the 24 hours of the promo. You must be online during installation so it  (their installer wraopper) can check with their server that it's still within the window of the promo.

You can install it on multiple systems, just as long as it's within the download day.

After that if you missed it, you can still get it for almost free, through TrialPay. Follow the Trial Pay (Get it free with Trialpay) links at dogwaffle.info for more. You typically choose another product or service, such nas renewing an antivirus or sending grandma some flowers via FTB etc... and they pay for your product pick.
(very innovative marketing: instead of wasting on Pay-per-click, use Pay-per-customer)

staigermanus ( ) posted Tue, 02 December 2008 at 8:59 PM

oh, and please make someone else happy: tell them about the promo before the 4rth :-)

Once you've got it installed on your system, you'll be able to add the 2.1b update patch onto it for free (www.dogwaffle.info/dogwaffle/patches  and see what's new in www.dogwaffle.info/dogwaffle/whatsnew  and scroll down to 2.0b, 2.0c, 2.0d, 2.1, 2.1a and 2.1b )

Then, if you like, you'll also be able to upgrade to PD Pro 3 and from 3 to 4 or go straight to v4 with a discount coupon.

I like Giveaway Of The Day, but AFAIK the catch is that you lose your software if you have to re-format your machine, or if you have to start using a new PC. This is because you have to install it within 24 hours. Am I correct about this ? ... or is there a workaround ?

that is correct.

still, considering you get to use some great software for free for a good while, it can make you discover new tools and in some cases you may want to upgrade to a newer full version without such pitfalls.

weird, I don't get it.

how likely is it that you'll need to re-install within 6 months or so?

staigermanus ( ) posted Wed, 03 December 2008 at 9:21 PM

you can also get it for free through TrialPay, i.e. if or when you are about to buy something online you probably are about to buy anytime anyway. So if you really ever need the same installer again, that's a way to do it.

Even more crafty... clear your Temp folder before installing, then after installing, grab a copy of the whole Temp folder. You'll have all the files you need for re-installation. At least I guess that works, haven't actually tried it.

But really, if that's what will keep you from trying it. oh well

staigermanus ( ) posted Fri, 05 December 2008 at 10:40 PM

hm, weird. I didn't see any such with NOD32.

Might be a false positive.

Any details about the alert from McAfee?
