Subject: Problem opening a zip file

pzrite ( ) posted Tue, 02 December 2008 at 3:46 PM · edited Fri, 24 January 2025 at 6:30 AM

I just purchased Assassin of Shannara V4 (BVHV4_ASH_70362.zip)
Order#: 111501943
And for some reason, every time I try to unzip it, the Runtime folder just unzips as a file.
It's just an empty file called "runtime"

I've tried downloading twice and I've also tried unzipping it using both unrar and winzip, but I still get the same results.  Other zipped files open correctly.

Any help or advice would be appreciated!

Lee

Edit: Oh and I forgot to add, here is the Winzip error report. (this is just the first part of it, it continues to list all the objects in the file):

Extracting to "C:Program Files (x86)Smith MicroPoser Pro"
Use Path: yes   Overlay Files: no
C:Program Files (x86)Smith MicroPoser ProRuntimeGeometriesBVH V4 ASH exists but is not directory
unable to process C:Program Files (x86)Smith MicroPoser ProRuntimeGeometriesBVH V4 ASH.

Hello,

I will work on this first thing in the morning and see if I can find out what is going on.

I will sitemail you to let you know what I come up with.

Thank you!

Hi,

I'm not showing you have downloaded the file? Its showing zero on the download for that on your account in the back end?  I just downloaded and opened the files successfully so I'm not sure what is wrong. All the files appear to be there.  I used winzip as well.

Hopefully Kristi can work with the Marketplace Manager tomorrow and see what is happening.

You aren't using any download managers or accelerators when downloading are you?  Can you try downloading it again just to make sure the download completes?

Thanks

Well I just downloaded it from work (even though I'm not supposed to) and it unzipped correctly.
So I think it might have something to do with my home computer.  I'm guessing it's my new installation of Windows Vista 64-bit, which has been doing some very weird things with my files.

I'll try it again when I get home from work.

Thanks,
Lee

Okay great.. At least that kind of narrows down that it might be computer related instead of the files:)
