Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 06 7:01 am)
This time i used Poser Sexy Walk p6( it doesn't say p6 but since it doesn't say P5 i believe this is the p6 version)
And look at this mess.
The frames are fram 1, then the others shots are various frames througout the 30 frame anim.
This is a total mess. what do i have to do in this case?
In the image with 4 frames in it, you have to either exclude the hands, fingers etc, and the forarm from colliding with the skirt, or you have to manual go in and make sure that the hands doesnt go through the cloth, first of all it will increase the time it takes to calculate as it will try to simulate the hands going through the cloth, and secondly it will screw up the simulation of the cloth as it react to the movement of the legs and hip.
When you work with dynamic cloth you have to pay attention to what collisions might occur as each object or body part that is going to collide with the cloth will affect it somehow, and each mistake will show in the cloth. So you should treat the cloth as it being in a reallife enviroment. Meaning that the hands cant go through cloth or the body it self etc. Then you will get the best results.
About the first images it might be the actually cloth that aint really modeled well for doing dynamic simulations. Dont know where you got it from, but if possible try to post a wireframe image of the skirt and a wireframe image of when its gone wrong.
Also try to post you simulation settings, collide against settings and the dynamic control settings.
My previous pic with 4 shots of the walk. That was using the Sexy Walk 30 frame animation. But it was the Sexy Walk that doesn't say P4. it's just named "Sexy Walk"
But this time i used the P4 Sexy wallk. And when i use the P4 Sexy walk and apply the same dynamic clothes notice that it doesn't go wacko like when using the other SExy walk version. Here the only problem is frame 2 and 3.
So why is the "Sexy Walk"( The p6 version) not compatible with dynamic clothes? And why even using p4 sexy walk, do i get frame 2 and 3 not working well?
help
3D Mobster, well when i push the Collide Against button.. In all my previous images i selected FIGURE 1 and then that automatcically selectedl all body parts. But
now i'm doig it by only selecting HIP, RIGHT BUTTOCK, RIGHT THIGH, LEFT BUTTOCK LEFT THIGH. that's all.
and it still does it, frame 2 and 3 the legs come out of the dress and the dress doesn't follow the legs.
If the skirt you are using is a freebie you can try to send it to me and i would like to have a closer look at it.
Regarding the dynamic settings, not sure if you have seen my reply to your other post regarding the same problem?.But you could try some of those settings found on there website. And its still a bit strange to me that they havent made the default settings one of those instead. Not sure if it have any effect on you particular problem but guess its worth a try.
Thanks for the help.
i got it perfect now.
This is what i did to get it to work
Sim Settings . Clohself collision ON Drape frames 5
In Collide Against button: Selected hip, right & left buttocks and thighs
Then like you said Collision ofset 0.2 and Col Depth 0.2 . and selected the 3 options
I use the Light Wool dial settings presented in SMITHMICRO website's Poser Dynamic clothes explanation page.
Tha'ts it. it worked!!
Now none of the frames have a problem
