Hey folks I've been outta the loop for a bit and I could use a little help...  I finally got a new computer and installed my copies of poser4/propack and poser 5 on it and I can't seem to get either of them to function correctly... I have Vista on my new PC im wondering if thats the issue. in propack it will load my figures but i cant seem em, I just get like outlines and it wont seem to render.. and poser 5 just gives me a message saying I dont have the privlages to run a lower level driver, tried "run as admin" and it tells me to reinstall or reboot ( I tried rebooting).... So if anything out there could give me a little help that would be great. I've got some models and character sets ready to poserize and im looking foward to getting em out there....

Might want to upgrade to poser 6 for only $30 since you've been out of the loop for so long.

I doubt Poser 6 will help if Poser 5 is not running under Vista.  Allocating admin rights to the program is a good start.

My suggestion was to get a little more current then 2003, and possibly have an upgrade path when poser 8 eventually surfaces.

And my advise to ALL vista users when they first start out...

Read this webpages, and go through the whole list FIRST before installing your applications, making the adjestments that make sense to you... THEN organise and install your stuff.

Can't help with Poser 5, but there is an update to Poser4 Pro which might solve the transparency problem you're having with it.  The link is provided by Inspired_Art from his website.
