Subject: conforming hair from other figures on V4?

anyone know if it is possible to use Sydney_Style2 G2 hair on Vicki 4? try as I may it wont conform correctly. and setting head as the parent also doesnt work. conforming seems to work but when you move vicki the hair doesnt follow so well. I love this hairstyle so I am trying to find a way.

anyone?

Try using "Object" in the top menu and "Change Parent" and pick V4's head.

Most Sydney conforming hairs have mesh on neck bone and head is empty bone without any obj.
It works best when you open hairs from library, open joint editor window and copy center setting from V4 neck and head bones to hairs bones.
Later using grouping tools "select all" hairs and create prop. Fit this prop as well as possible to Victoria head. If looks good, select hairs with fixed joints, select neck (or head if hairs are on head bone) and "replace body part with prop"

Hair is easy to refit. Don't conform! Bring hair in, use the x-y-z dials to move it into the right spot and resize it, then parent.  Does that help?

conform does nothing. and parenting doesnt work right. it still floats off the head slowly as you move vicki. the neck and hair post sounded true but confused the heck outta me lol.

:) Sorry for my English I'll try to explain with pictures. I'm not sure what Sydney hairs you use and here I use Jessi Kozaburo hairs.
  1. Load Hairs and Vicky - do not conform any figures atm.

2. Using scale, translate and morphs fit hairs to Vicky head and shoulders. Translate y, z must be use on "body", because neck and head have this parameters hidden.

3. Select hairs - in the window you should notice that "neck" is selected. Using grouping tool create prop. Hide it for a while switching off "visible" option.

4. Adjust hair figure bones to Vicky bones. Use joint editor window.

5. All body parts must have the same parameters as Vicky body parts. Hidden parts as chest, collars and head MUST be adjusted as well.

6. Make generated prop visible and replace "neck" with this prop. On picture original hairs are texture shaded, figure is restored to default, but body parts are adjusted to V4. Prop is visible as a wireframe

7. Conform hairs to figure. If they are deformed it means that unvisible body (for example chest) part was not adjusted well. This kind of hairs still have all morphs as original hairs. If you are not satisfied with results come back to pt. 4 and 5 and adjust bend, side-side and twist parameters as well, remember about inner and outer mat spheres and bulges. Good luck

To open the Joint Editor select Window from the Main Menu then select Joint Editor.
