I have looked at eowyn's workactually, I could only think of Syyd's at the time though. Iagree marshamllow, Eowyn's stuff is also EXTREMELY good. As for the pic nplus just posted, great pic, bnut not nearly as exagerrated as bryce. Your picture look much better than a bryce rendering, mainly cause, you know, it's real and all, but horizon is also realistic (and much nicer than montreal horizons!).
I agree you with that bryce sky-thing. BUT, (there is always one but ;o) sometimes that glow gives "that extra something" for the pic. I have played with bryce skies, and, hated 95% of those. But, ex. in this piece, that glow is essential. (will post it after this) And about Vicky (and all models) the point is, originality. To do something own, to show something unseen, to point out something different. There are guys who do miracles with Vicky, and there are guys who do the same boring shit that everybody else have done million times before. Again, and again. I guess its the same thing with bryce skies too. "Download a texture - download sexy ligeries - download a pose and adjust a bit - download some ready props - adjust camera a bit - render" Asphalt can be original, if you can find the correct view. -N
Bryce is an excellent program....and there are ways to make skies very lifelike and real indeed, the horizon line can be moved and lifted out in any number of ways. Also, check out 3d commune's Bryce gallery, the best of the best show there, and you can see some amazing results. I miss working in Bryce, I used to do a great variety of bryce/poser work, but when I hit the technical end, the time to play just does not exist. NPlus your image is magnificent. I was watching a movie called "Pay It Forward" last night and its set in Nevada, they had some amazing skies in that movie.

I think I've viewed my last bryce related image I can stand! The program is great, but, it is its own undoing. No matter what the image, that tell-tale over exxagerated horizon is ever present in anything bryce related. I've personally never seen horizons glow like they do in Bryce, but that might just be smog infested Montreal playing its part. Still, whenever I see a bryce image where the horizon isn't visible, I rejoice. Sort of like the fact that everyone and their uncle is doing a Naked Vicki at the moment (or, voluptuos Vicki as the ad states). Nothing wrong with Vicki either, but everyone is using her! I haven't seen any "Massive Mike" renders yet, but maybe I'm not looking in the right places. It just bugs me is all. Last time I used bryce, I made a warship entirely in it (which, thanks to bryce not asking "Are you sure you would like to save over such and such", I accidently deleted it when it was about 50% done, booo). The art gallery postings that impress me, are the ones that don't use a product's gimmick which everyone who has the product just can't seem to get enough of. Poser has the ability to model figures and whatnot, but very few of the models actually look life like. Syyd's work is one great exception. Not only are her works, quands je dits en francais, incroyable, mais elle utilise les personnages masculin! It's rare, but these are the works, that while they don't get the clicks yer average T&A picture does, that inspire me to do better in what I do. They are the creations of the people who think outside of the box, and venture beyond their immediate surroundings. On another note, HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm gonna go get plastered, and huck tunas at cars on the expressway. ry
