if there are thousands of vargas-style poser renders at 'rosity and all the
other major poser gallery sites, surely one of them will tell ya how to do it (use an old rdna
GI lite set, set the shadows wrong, don't use dynamic hair, don't  use a background,
then in photoshop add a 40% blur layer over the rendered image. no need to overexpose
the image in photoshop, as a GI lite set in poser can do that very nicely).

hence this would require going thru the gallery here until ya found a vargas-style poser
render.  it would take time, but I reckon they'd be happy to tell ya how they did it.

One basic way to try to get this dreamy sort of 'glam shot' effect is to select just the figure and duplicate it on a new layer. It needs to be literally just the outline of the figure.
Lock the transparency and apply a gaussian blur. Locking the transparency keeps the blur inside the figure and the edges clean. Set this layer now to 'screen' and experiment with the opacity.
You will need to experiment with both the amount of blur and the opacity of the screen layer.
It's one way any how. Hope it works for you .

Not that big a secret. Most stuff like this is done by duplicating the layer, as Gini said, using gaussian blur, then playing with the apply layers mode and adjusting the opacity. There's a whole world of effects that can be done just using that technique. The apply layers mode is a MAJOR tool in Photoshop post production and it's vital to learn how to use it.

Talent is God's gift to you. Using it is your gift to God.
