Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 23 7:38 pm)
Poser can not do that but UVMapper can. You can download the free Lite version from http://www.uvmapper.com Load in the figure's OBJ file and you will be able to save out the texture template.
Quote - Why would you need the UV Map for? Just go into the textures from the original model or clothing and Paint or design over that?
Because that makes your work derivative, which means that you are infringing on the copyright of the original creator. Even if what you end up selling has no pixels in common with the original. Plus, pragmatically, if you want something more detailed than the original (adding stripes, for example), you need the UV-mapping to be accurate.
In poser 7 its very easy to create a mat pose from a material collection. see attached text file.

I am about to start creating custom textures for alot of Poser clothing and sell them here on Renderosity. Im just curious is there any way to export the texture map from poser. I do know its possible to just export the clothing as an obj and opening it in maya and export from there and that I have been doing for months now but I am just curious is there any possible way to just export the map striaght through poser.
