Here are some interesting facts  about Last Week In The Gallery for 2008

due to a formatting issue the following data is for 1523 images instead of the total 1560 selections

on average 6 or 7 "new" artists are selected each week.. That is 6 or 7 artists who have never been selected for LWITG before.

I have to admit, I am quite pleased at how diverse the selections were.

I think everyone who was part of the staff this year deserves  a round of applause for their dedication to this project..

I also feel they deserve a round of applause for making sure that we included as many members as possible !

I was entranced with the outstanding photography that brought us to the last week of 2008. What a bang up way to celebrate the year - with an amazing creshendo of talent and skill. I'm proud to know so many stellar artists!

Congrat to those been selected in the final LWITG for this year. Nice work from the mods all year around and what a fascinating data whith all the "ranking"

I would like to say thanks to those who take the time to organise and run the photography forums and the LWITG.It just wouldn't happen without you.

Many many thanks to all those who viewed my work and took the time to leave comments and ratings.Getting into the LWITG is an honour with so many great images submitted by all those around the world.

To come out  in the top two was a surprise for me but it does inspire me to get out and about to capture more and share the images I take.

Once again thanks to all who commented and a really big thanks to the Renderosity staff.

This weekly selection has been named the "Last Week in the Gallery", or LWitG. Originally started back in December of 2003, it has become a fantastic weekly representation of the many fine photographers in the Photography Forum. Drop in and join the celebration!

My wife and I would like to express our deepest thanks on the selection of my photo "In Memorium This Holiday Season" that was dedicated to my wife on the loss of her mom over the holidays. This means so much to us during this trying time. I would also like to say congratulations to all the other artists that were selected. Blessed Be to all and have a joyous New Year. )O(

What a pleasant surprise when I checked my email and saw one of my pics was chosen. Thanks for including my image. LWITG is always a great way to catch up on missed photos of note, so thanks to the staff for taking the time to put them together every week. Happy New Year!

What a great concluding week for 2008. Congratulations for all the talented artists so rightly chosen. And thanks for all the staff...each and every one named above. This provides a huge boost for thinking about what to do for 2009!!!

As said above, I'm just real happy to be a part of all this amazing activity. We should change all the members of the United Nations into photographers...they'd see things more clearly and maybe even work in concert.

Congratulations to all the artists chosen, not only this week, but all year long.  The LWITG has always been one of the most interesting posts in the forum.  The images are always an inspiration and show the diversity and creative talent of the artists who post in the photography gallery.

I felt extremely humbled and honored to have been chosen a few times, and many  thanks to  the  Renderosity staff for that.  A huge thanks, also, for all the work behind the scenes that goes into choosing and creating the LWITG collage and to PJ for the stats provided, which must have taken quite some time to research.

Congrats to all the artists that were selected throuoghout the past year, I myself had some selections of which I was truly thankful, it's this type of recognition, and the dedication of the mods and co-ords, that helps us develop and improve our skills, we are the best digital photography family on the net..Thanks guys!!!!
