it simply will not show up in my runtime. i extracted the files to efrontier/poser 7 etc....   it says poser 5 in the  read me, but i assumed poser 5 and above.

efrontier/poser 7 ??

Did you update the service pack ?
Then you might want to see if its not SmithMicro / poser7 now....
Other then that im still not sure what the problem is ..
Do you unzip from desktop or from within poser ? the two ways of unzip directs the itmes to diffrent locations

Have you tried extracting to a dummy folder aand checking the folder structure? Sometimes it doesn't start with runetime so when you extract straight into Poser you will have to look for it. As far as p5 vs p7, the materials may or may not work properly. The readme did show where the files were placed. As Bar-Code mentioned, check the readme then see if the files are where it said they should be.

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

It shouldn't matter whether it's "E-Frontier" or "Smith Micro". If you're unzipping using Winzip or the like, you're pointing to the "Poser 7" folder, what's above it is irrelevant.

to be honest , i didnt really think that updating my software was an issue, but i have just done it anyway - although it is a good suggestion :) , i will try again, with the unzipping......

did i say it was ? i asked if you did ... not that you should or must do it...
But when you change the main folder and work from that a unzipped file to a other folder wont be showing up in your runtime..

But simply look at what your doing and check the paths should bring you to your itmes..
And then you can check the paths to were they should be in poser...

the diffrence is ... that like i said they 2 ways of extracting the zip does not put them in the same place....
The what and how is in the manual...
