Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 14 7:46 am)
I guess it depends on the version. You could probably adjust the areas with dials. However, I seem to remember there's a Gravity morph for some Poser characters .Maybe someone else will remember the precise name. you could check in the marketplace...
I wish I'd said that.. The Staircase Wit

Search in the RMP for "Natural Gravity Morphs" by Posermatic. There are quite a few for several female characters.
Here's a system by roogna for use with several models:
Quote - All great ideas! I dinked around with the magnets, but will be checking out the gravity morphs. I am also working on a poofy leather chair, and want to get it to look not so rigid when my character is sitting in it. Thanks!!
A chair with "sat on" morphs would be great, I've tried with a number of models to do this with magnets but the problem often is that there aren't enough vertices (if any) in the front edge and seat. I got best results using group editor to create a material zone for the seat cushion, making it invisible and then replacing it with Trekkie Grrrl's morphing pillow, though matching materials can be an issue.
For body parts you might want to check Adam Thwaites Natural Bounce it has butt morphs too

or Powerage's Power Girl who has a similar magnet based system

For a still the PoserMorphBrush Tool I would think would be of great value. Also for animation to some extent, because the custom morph resulting from MorphBrush work can be animated.
(Once again, if only we could paint subdivision with it!)
The other problem wih animation is actual collision. The only collision in Poser is with the dynamic hair and cloth module, right? And you can't use those on full figures...you can't clothify V4, for instance.

I was able to clothify the V4 abdomen and collision worked.

that looked nice opera
what were your settings? did you lay the character down?
i remember that tutorial used constrained verts to keep the rest of the body part from sagging. did you up the air dampening all the way?
galactictuna you can scale a magnet down in a direction to flatten round surfaces. as a person sits on a chair you can use two magnets to simulate both legs on the chair. and again flatten the bottom of the legs.
i haven't tried this, (so it's probably idiotic to mention it but here goes anyway) maybe on the legs, one magnet each leg to flatten it, then another magnet on top of it to curve the leg inwards towards the thigh. if the magnets conflict, then i would just send the first magnets deformation out as a morph and use the second one anyway. i don't think they will though.
go that way really fast.
if something gets in your way

I have a question about posing characters in general, like for example a woman lying on the floor on her side. How can I show the effects of gravity on the chest and stomach for example? Also, what about body weight? For example, if you are sitting nude on the floor, your butt will "smush" to conform to the floor.
Thanks!
