Subject: QuickSuits for A3, G2F, M4, V2 and V4

I've added to the range of QuickSuits that I distribute - some were made by Thip, some were converted by myself or others. There are now versions for Aiko 3, the G2 females (Poser 7 Sydney, Jessi G2 and Olivia), Michael 4, Victoria 1 and 2, and Victoria 4. I'm also making a version for Kirwyn's K figure, but that has been slightly delayed; I seem to have forgotten to make a Miki 2 version, so I should do that next. :) There will also be QuickDresses for the majority of these figures along in due course.

These are not clothes (although I suppose you could use them as dynamic catsuits if you wanted). You're supposed to hack them about in your modeller of choice to make your own clothes - they give you a starting point.

The meshes are royalty free. As far as I'm concerned, whatever you make with a QuickSuit is yours to do with as you wish: give it away, sell it, whatever you like. Credit is not required, nor is permission.

The meshes are not a copy of any figure's mesh, and I am confident that they doesn't infringe any terms of use; but obviously I can't give any absolute guarantees about that. A QuickSuit is generally regarded as a derivative of the underlying figure, and you should respect the figure's terms of use regarding that; if in doubt about what you want to do, you should contact the makers of the relevant figure.

In particular, it would be sensible not to distribute anything that competes with an existing product.

There are already Judy and Don QuickSuits available on that page, DPH. :-) Thip has Posette and Dork QuickSuits in the 3D Commune store (the ony QuickSuits which aren't free, by the way) - obviously I won't compete with those for as long as they remain on sale.

 G'day EnglishBob
....first off I do hope you are planning to upload a link to the freestuff area as this thread will cycle out and folks will no longer have access to these items thru the forum.
Also I have a concern with this part of your comment....
"some were made by Thip, some were converted by myself or others."
My concerern is do you have the permission to redistribute these as other folks made the originals?

Yes, I have permission from Thip to redistribute QuickSuits and anything I make from them, and also from Pascal who made the M4 conversion.

As for putting them in freestuff, I never did that with the originals. I figured they'd be downloaded by loads of people who didn't know what they were, and who never read the notes. Then I'd be constantly fielding complaints about clothing that doesn't conform properly... :/ I prefer to only publicise the more specialised items here, where I have a better chance of explaining myself. :)

Cool...it does limit who has access due to the cycling but as always it is your choice...thanks for replying so fast...now I can go out...LOL.. ...

But there will always be people around to provide a link in appropriate circumstances 😉

o.k., thx fr the suits, thip and bob.  I was looking for one of those for v2rr with v3 clothes-fitting option, hence I reckon the v2 or v3 suit will work.

OMG....THANKS, Bob! I was at your site the other day, in a search just for something like this for Vicky 4!

Looking forward to the dress, too! :D

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. My 3D activities are limited at present since our PC suffered some kind of disk failure after being left alone over Christmas, and my efforts are concentrated on getting Mrs. Bob's profile working in time for the next term of her degree course.

However, if anyone wants to try out one or more of the new QuickDresses, I've put up a beta which contains versions for Poser 5 Judy, Miki 2, Stephanie Petite 3, Victoria 3 (this is an updated version of my existing V3QD), and Victoria 4.

Don't expect them to be perfect - at the moment I can't even try them out to see how far I've got - but do let me know of any problems you find. If you think they are perfect, of course, I'd be happy to hear that too. ;)

@EnglishBob
Hi, it's not completely in this context, sorry. But that boots in the butterfly preview on your site, are they still in the pipeline ?? They are nearly similar to the marvelous Nancy Boots, but they are more up to / onto the knee. That's looking really superb ...

Cheerio
Jo

EnglishBob ( ) posted Mon, 19 January 2009 at 11:09 AM

Thanks, JoE! I still want to make that style, but so far I haven't been able to make them work the way I want them to. That was why I eventually shortened them to make the Nancy Boots instead - but don't despair, nothing is ever deleted from my projects directory. :)

nyguy ( ) posted Mon, 19 January 2009 at 3:19 PM

I have a simple pair of Boots for V4 that need work, sort of look like the Nancy Boots at EB's site.

EB just sent you an email about them.

Bob found an issue, the Quick suit for M4 is not zeroed. This is causing some issues with making some clothing . See screen shot. Give me a shout.

Ah poop. I don't even have M4 installed at the moment. And now you've reminded me that I haven't got around to finishing the K suit yet either.

Busy busy busy. :-)

I have corrected the M4 suit to fit a zeroed figure; and the QuickSuit for "K" is finally up. :-)

Just to say that I've added QuickSuits for the Poser 4 adults (Posette and Dork) for anyone who still uses them. These were previously on sale at 3D Commune, and Thip has generously agreed that they may be released as freebies.

nyguy ( ) posted Mon, 07 December 2009 at 11:30 AM

EB do you think you could convince Thip or someone to make a quick suit/Dress for the P8 Figures and 3D Universe's Skye?

I will certainly ask. I've had others asking for a Skye Quicksuit, but she doesn't have Wardrobe Wizard support at present so I can't use my normal conversion method. I don't have P8 so I can't do the others either. I'll see what Thip's plans are - he may not have these figues. I've offered to host any future suits he makes, since he has no site of his own.

They already know - I posted there as soon as I'd finished here. ;-)
