I aim to update it about once a month. Oh, and it's free!

I always wanted to say that. It has a kind of ring to it.
so attacking the man proves your point eh?
Jen X needs protection from those who needlessly do her/him (who really knows on the net anyways) an injustice.
Sure she moderates - but she does nothing but trumpet the corporate line. So I suppose you thing that berating the door attendant is gonna get the film changed?
And the reason that I don't hang around posting in these meandering, rather pityful, forums is that they always go one of 2 ways:
- A slagging match where he who smears longest has the worst verbal diarrhea
- Silliy images about cats
We've gone through phase 2, now on to phase 1.
And you know, I'm really over this personal attack bulls**t cause I know I am awesome in bed. And then I roll over and go to sleep.
If you want to get in a reall bun fight, go to otica thunderome. A no holes barred brawl shall you have. But you wont see me there because of reason 1 and reason 2. I 'm not fond of cats, and I don't need to resort to personal insults cause I'm good in bed: which gives me a lot of self confidence.
So leave Jen X alone, she's just doing her job. She could be better at it, she could be worse.
so looking over you home page (mainly to get an Idea of who it is that is calling me inconsequental, and perhaps to get some ammunition too). So forums are your thing. I do other things on this site. Like pictures of girls with very nice boobs. Leave me alone, I don't want to share in your oblivion - I have my own oblivion to explore.

You Tell em' Raj!
Uses Jedi mind control powers "You will give me all your cats!" After the passing of my pagan kitty Alexander the Great Kitty it's been hard for me to get another but I feel it's time. I miss the sound of falling objects from the book shelves....LOL!!
BTW he was called Alexander the Great Kitty cuz when he was a kitten he just moved right into the house and conquered EVERYTHING! What was his was his and what was ours was his...LOL!!
raj that was truly funny.
i have a question, though. are the moderators paid staff of renderosity? after all, looking in on the very top of the forums you notice some people moderating more than one forum. and god knows a moderator probably has to check in here all the time. seems like that can be crazy time consuming. why do it for free? why enforce rules and earn acrimony for free? surely there is a salary involved.
go that way really fast.
if something gets in your way
turn
Really? Not based on Sabina's expression, lol

others see us. Try as we may, we are never
able to know ourselves fully as we
are, especially the evil side of us.
This we can do only if we are not
angry with our critics but will take in good
heart whatever they might have to
say." - Ghandi
Hurrah for Raj, The mods here do their jobs as they can, they don't make the rules. I say they're all fine mods. And not because I haven't been spanked, cause I have, a few times, but have found it is much better to whimper, roll puppydog eyes, and wag my tail than to try and bite them. Bitting and vitriol never works for anything.
Quote - Now I've seen everything, how did you get Sabina to sit still in that stuff? LOL :D
Sabina isn't my kitty so I'm not sure how her Meowmy managed to get her to sit still. But I will ask her. It's such a cute picture. There are other Christmas Kitty pictures from last Christmas, but this one is the cutest!

HI Raj,
agree with everything you said although "Sure she moderates - but she does nothing but trumpet the corporate line. " I'd say she interprets the corporate line probably more than trumpeting it. I hope the corporate line isn't really as tough as what JenX is, but I've written to them to see.

I must admit that the photo of the things climbing up that lady's leg was somewhat unnerving,
like "the creeping horror of Ipswich" or something.
but anyway, I don't want any of us to develop any self-referential ideation in regard to
any of the marketplaces here or elswhere. if any of these poser-related sites experience
a drop in sales, it's due to the dreadful state of the world economy, and not to any differences we
might have about how the various forums are run.

I must agree, I don't think very many customers of the marketplace ever even bother to check out the forums. (Perhaps they are the smart ones :)
Quote - BTW - sibling cat is a hit.
You've been published!

Like I said or hinted at on the other thread, this place ceased to be a community the day it changed it's name from PFO to Renderosity.
AMEN! I've been here since PFO was run by Willow and Grey. Not perfect, grant you, but it
WAS a nice community of Poser fans. I would modify your statement just slightly. While
the community started it's slide into the crapper when PFO became Renderosity, the death
knell was the opening of the Marketplace. I buy, like everyone else, but I don't fool myself into
thinking this site is anything but a commercial enterprise. Those who think in terms of
community, have never seen the heyday of the PFO, or the 3DCommune in it's very earliest
days.

The WalMart scenerio! "Progress" is a dual-edged sword. If we really want a mega-mall, it seems we've gotta sacrifice the neighborhood's Mom & Pop general store & coffee shops. They just won't coexist.
However, stop and consider how many sites you'll still hit daily - - after ten years.
IMHO Rendo has truly done a better job than most in successfully growing the shopping center without paving over the parks.
It's not the fault of Jen X. She's a pretty good moderator actually. This censorship is something that goes on in the entire world these days: Corporations are turning people into consumer-slaves and consumers aren't supposed to complain. Consumers aren't supposed to think.Consumers are supposed to consume.
. Renderosity is a lot more free than we realize. I mean we can actually have our Ot-threads and political discussions here without the goon squad kicking in the door. We can exchange ideas and thoughts freely here. Rendo is a lot better than we think. I mean, I absolutely hate corporations with every fiber of my being and even I have to admit Renderosity more humane than "Nokia". .....And I don't even work here and probably never will ;)
-Morbo will now introduce the candidates - Puny Human Number One,
Puny Human Number Two, and Morbo's good friend Richard Nixon.

(Sorry to keep bumping this with the unfortunate title Jen)Here’s an interesting essay, at Salon.com, on the propensity to form nostalgic attachments to early incarnations of works. Looks at how Message & Content is adapted and modified over time to match a changing audience, and typically, one will outgrow the other.
-- ""Of course you liked early R.E.M. best," I want to say. "You were 17 years old and drunk on tequila and in love with a girl who didn't know you existed….” --

I know I've noticed this thread before, so I wanted to pop in. First, um, thanks, I think. I hope! I don't do this job for the thanks, I do it...partly out of habit, and partly because I actually like you guys :P
Also, while we don't technically get "paid" for our work here, Renderosity does gift us. No, not going to go into detail. And, yeah, some of us run more than one forum/gallery. It's kind of hard and confusing sometimes, and, in my personal experience, it makes me strive to learn what I can do in the programs...which is sometimes hard during our Annual Foot Shooting Jamboree.
And, regarding nostalgia...here's a quote from my favorite movie reviewer. (When's the last time someone quoted one of them?? LOL)
You know why it's still fun to watch Fast Times at Ridgemont High? Because you never had to watch Spicoli grow up and try on a tuxedo to marry Jennifer Jason Leigh. - Dave White
