I have not yet had a chance to download Daz Studio on My windows 7 system yet. Does anyone know if it works?

Public Beta, expires August this year. I have downloaded it but not yet installed (I need to sort out the space and make sure I have a cuirrent backup, even though I am going for dual boot without disturbing my current system in theory).

Frankly I am very afraid to install it in my only system.....   XP is doing fine so far why change it...  I'll wait till I get a big enough consensus from a large number of people before I move anything..

Looks like, if anything, you'd be the first person ;)  I'd say try it out, see what you think, and let us know what's borked :)

Windows 7 is a beta, so it might work now then not later, or vice-versa. Its all dependent on drivers. I know Vista could be frustrating for Studio users due to the inconstant development of drivers, this is a beta OS, it could be far worse.

Then again if you wish to go where no renderer has gone before let us know. I'm staying with XP until I hear otherwise.

I have not yet taken the plunge and installed DS on Win7 yet.  I might have to tonight.

A friend installed 7. It's appears to running neater than Vista but the only thing he can do is surf the 'net. Anything multimedia (for him) is locked.

Happily dumped Windows long ago....

I was able to launch DS 2.3.3.146 from Win 7, and manipulate a simple scene OK. I didn't push it too hard, and I'm back in XP right now. (This was using an installation on my XP drive, to which I'd copied the .dlls from the WindowsSystem32 folder so that it was self-contained, rather than a fresh installation for W7; I had to reenter my serial numbers and content paths of course.)

Hey Richard.  I'll look forward to hearing more about your experiences with DAZ Studio and Win 7.
