You can now opt-in to let Renderosity use your images in Renderosity publications.  NOTE:  This selection is UNCHECKED by default.  You have to actively choose to do this.

Also, we have a new way to flag images, and have added a category flag: Language.  If the language in your image, description, or title wouldn't be used in professional conversation, it's a good bet that it will need to be flagged.  Here's the link to the front page article for more information.

Is there any easy way to select multiple images and checkmark them all?

Way too many people take way too many things way too seriously.

Um....no.  It's just like if you wanted to go in and decide that you want only constructive criticism, and wanted to edit all of your previous images to reflect that decision.  Flags need to be set for each image.

Hmm.. might be a good option to add at some point in time then?

Still sounds like a worthwhile new feature!

On the surface, that sounds like a good option.  On the other hand, that also gives the possibility for flag abuse on the whole, like flagging WIP images (not meant for publishing) to be flagged for potential use in advertising, or flagging an entire gallery for nudity when only one image is a nude.  It keeps the responsibility in the hands of the artist, rather than us having to check up on them.

What I would like to ask is, if artists that are interested will need to provide their art in higher resolutions than before to get a chance to take part. In the main article is stated, that these pieces can be used in print medias as well, but an image with a lower resolution will look terrible when printed.

For clarification straight from Stacey, you can ask right on the article :)  She's really fast at getting answers out.

Is there an option to not let our images be downloaded/saved so that they're not uploaded by someone else to another site?

JenX ( ) posted Sat, 31 January 2009 at 9:47 PM

The only sure-fire way to make sure no one can save your art is to not put it online.  Even if we disable right clicking or make the image encased in a flash setting, someone could still do a screen capture.  We have, actually, in the past, implemented a no-right-click process...not only did it slow down the site SUBSTANTIALLY, many members were highly upset, as they use their right mouse button to navigate the site.

Always tag your pictures, I know it ruins the pic, but hey, it sure does show that its yours now doesnt it?

Absolutely. Regarding disabling the right click:

Ironically enough, I only ever use the right-click option for images to see the image's properties.
When I want to save an image, I simply drag it from the browser to my desktop or another folder.

AnyHOO, viewed images always appear in the caches of both IE and FF...  http://larashots.com/images/emote/shrug.gif
So those scripts blocking right-clicks are annoying and pointless.
