Hi I am using the Daz setup tools to make some JCM's in the picture On the left you see the shoulder JCM in Daz  On the right is the same JCM in Poser. What could be the problem? works great in Daz not in Poser.  This is the first time this has ever happened.

Thanks in advance.

Mike.

You might want to check the SetUp Tools docs. If I remember correctly, there are certain
options which MUST be checked to maintain Poser compatibility. If they are not checked,
the resulting joints will not work properly in Poser.

Thanks Greywolf, I'll go through the docs again. This is the first joint this has happened to, and it's strange because I had almost the same JCM's working on an older version of the model. I'm racking my brain trying to figure out what I may have done differently.

Cheers,

Mike.

how did you create your jcm? using the reverse deformations feature of Morph loader pro? if so what options did you use?

Diogenes ( ) posted Wed, 28 January 2009 at 11:31 PM

I exported the posed figure from Daz and worked on it in Zbrush on export I used poser scale, ignore invisible nodes, use bone welds, and remove unused vertices. I then scaled it up by 100 in objaction scaler (for precision since ZB don't like small scale geometry) imported into Zbrush did the morph work, exported scaled back down to poser scale. Used morph loader pro  with these options.  Daz studio exported yes, ignored invisible nodes yes, used bone welds yes, removed unused vertices yes,  Create control property yes, ERC [DeltaAdd], use custom value yes, Node rShldr, property Zrot, reverse deformations yes, apply after joint binding no.

Oh also I used All group/Bone Matches in figure.

So far that setup has always worked even on some pretty hairy JCM's in the leg/hip joints.  Someone told me that Daz studio actually only simulates the poser rigging and sometimes it just isn't perfect.  But I am working it out using the old fasioned method of porting it back and forth between Poser and ZB till it works right. A long and laborious process but it works.  Most of the JCM from D/S works, just that small part is messed up.

I also tried apply after joint binding with the same results.

Cheers,

Mike.

yeah that all looks right. I was thinking perhaps you used apply after joint bending(which I havn't found a lot of use for yet) and poser wasn't reading that. other than that I can't think of why it wouldn't work.
