Subject: Un Doing a parent command

westcat ( ) posted Wed, 04 February 2009 at 4:48 AM · edited Mon, 03 February 2025 at 2:01 AM

I have two figures in a scene that are parented to one another.  Where in Poser is a command that will undo a parent?

Figure > Set figure parent > (select) UNIVERSE

Hope that helps.

Just adding...If you Parented a Hand or another part in the IK Chain you will need to Parent it back to the chain Part or you will mess up the IK.. (I have seen people do this)

I don't know about P7, but for me in P4 through P6 "Figure > Set figure parent > (select) UNIVERSE" does not work! Neither can I set the parent to UNIVERSE in the Hierarchy Editor.

The only way that works for me is to select the Body of the child figure, then from to Object menu > Change Parent, and set the parent to UNIVERSE there.
