Hi,
At this point because it would take too long to explain... do a search in your browser for Vue environmental lighting tutorial. Or visit e-on and have a look at their tutorials. I'm sure they'd have something you need. Other than that, it's pretty much trial and error and that takes a while which it sounds like, you don't have.
I hope this helps!
You can do a google search for HDR lightting and get about a zillion hits.
Do you want to know what it is in terms of science behind it, how to use it, why to use it ect...
The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious. It is the fundamental emotion that stands at the cradle of true art and true science...

Well, you can start with this...Most 3D programs utolise HDR in the same fasion for the same reasons..to get physically accurate representation of light and reflection. to explain it all here would be quite a task. I am studying it myself at the moment. Niot lighting as i have been using it for quite some time now, but actually photographing it...which involves EV values and such. Best to just follow the link, and give it good days reading :DI cannot think of to many people that use it to its full potential in Vue, but you can look at fabrice gallery and also phlynn gallery...they both use it with great results. Good luck(;

guys.....please
i just want to present the article about "environmental lighting" not HDR or HDRI....please put the HDRI aside for a mint...
you know the environment lights in vue to make the mood of the environment we want to create....or
environment lights in industrial part to make same mood of the environment we want to create....
i am talking about that environment not the HDR or HDRI you are saying....
i think my question is very simple
What is environment lighting?
Well, I think everyone gave you the right answer here, but seems you don't want to listen.
Environment lighting= lighting your 3D scene with a map (photo), either jpeg (bad) or HDRI (good, great)
Now you read your Vue manual and follow the links provided here.
But no one is going to write down an article for you.
well you are saying that environment lighting is equal to light our scene with a photo or map or whatever...but...
how about lighting our scene with the source of light like point light, directional light or vue sun light...
same as in the industrial light you know
http://www.ilm.com
what is it called? environment lighting with light source?
I'd tell him to use Google and be prepared to do a lot of reading. Asking people to explain all the different methods and applications of lighting 3D scenes in a thread is both unreasonable and extremely unrealistic. Many whole BOOKS are written on this subject, it is not something that can be condensed into a few posts on a forum.
