Thank you Preston for your prompt reply. The file structure is the same for both programs and most products that will load in Poser, will also work in DAZ. The material handling is usually where issues arise between the two, but that is not the case here. The problem is there are basic files needed to load the product that are just not there. I just tried again and found that if I try to load a scene file, I get the terrain prop and the tree props fine, but the background, fog, and the ground files are asking for their obj's, which appear to be simple planes and the ground is asking for a box file. I think the vendor simply forgot to include these simple primitives and so I did manage to create a plane and load the fog and its transparency files using my surface tab, (material editor in DAZ). I also just loaded a background from the texture folder using "edit/background". The ground file shows up in the scene tab, but not in the viewer, and also is not in my surface tab. So at least for the ground prop, I will need to build a box primitive to utilize it. It would be helpful if the vendor could supply the missing files, or if someone could recommend correct sizes and how to build/save them for usage in DAZ for me.
Thank you again,
Michelle Beck
Quote - These objs in the props folder the product asks for are object primitives that come with Poser, so unless you have Poser installed on your machine you won't have them.
Son long as these primitives are only used for something along the lines of parenting several props to for movement purposes, then you can easily make replacements by creating D|S primitives and exporting to appropriately named OBJ files.

I bought the the Fantasy Forest package and expansions from ETDA, (Extreme Themes Digital Art) back in December of 2008. When trying to use the product in DAZ Studio,(specifically the background props), , it asks for the obj files from the Runtime/Geometries/props folder which do not exist. I have re-downloaded and checked the files it is asking for, they are not there. They appear to be planes or box primitives? I have tried the contact for the vendor and have gotten no response. I really would like to use this product and am not looking for a refund. Is this vendor still around? If not can someone instruct me on how to build the props myself and what size, etc. I need to make them? I have Hexagon, or I could try the primitives in DAZ. I would so appreciate any help I could get.
Thank you in advance,
Michelle Beck
