I've had Poser for awhile now, but lately I've been getting into import sport cars and what not. I was wondering how I could make my own cars and stuff alike in Poser or is there a different program I could do that in other than 3d Max. I seen a car made in Bryce but I was hoping to like map out my own style of car. Anyone? Thank you in advance...

You can make models for Poser in any program that will export to obj. 3ds will also work, that will require some extra steps. If you want to try a bit of freeware that will output obj files, try the above link. Actually, over on the character creators forum, I'm trying to design some challenges that will be geared toward the beginner who wants to make props and characters for Poser. If you want a preview, I've written a quick and dirty morph target challenge/tutorial that takes you through the steps of exporting a cube object from Poser and making a morph target for it, using Anim8or. Here's the link: [ Cube Morph Tutorial](http://www.jabberdoggy.com/Tutorials/Cubey/Anim8or/CubeyAnim8or.html)

Thank you Twillis. It came in handy for me too. Your tutorial design was so easy even I did it.

There are a number of free modelling programs out there that are quite good. Try Open FX...www.openfx.org. Also, there is a free Amapi 4.15...see link in Amapi forum. I got this, also, and, after doing the "finger exercises" in the Amapi forum, I find that it is a pretty sweet little program. (You CAN import .3ds into Poser.)
