Subject: Poor qualiry renders

catbyte6 ( ) posted Mon, 02 March 2009 at 10:56 AM · edited Fri, 22 November 2024 at 1:17 PM

How do I get a better quality render? All my renders come into Photoshop all pixelated and fuzzy. Even if I downsize the image they look really terrible. I've tried saving as jpgs and pngs.
Thanks

What are your render settings?  Are you using 3Delight or OpenGL?  WHat size are you rendering to?

Wow...you've got me there. Photoshop I know, Daz I don't. I am new to rendering and 3d.

On the MenuBar go to Render, Render Settings and post a screenshot of that page.  When you render, does the render appear in the viewport or a file?  What size is it when you open it in Photoshop?

Render Settings:
Active Viewport
Pixel 778 x 887
Aspect 775 x 887
Software 3D Delight

tif is 2.62 MB (still very pixelated)
png is 235KB

When you open it in PhotoShop, is it the same size as it was in the viewport?

Try rendering to a file and setting the size larger than the viewport dimensions.
