Subject: Just Many Thanks

Greetings and Salutations All,

I just wanted to take a moment and thank EVERYONE in these forums. I have been learning a lot about P5 and P6, and most of it comes from the wonderful "brains" here at Rendo forums. I have had some of the simplest questions answered here by some of the most famous people in the Poser Community. Every post I every published has been answered by someone if not by many. Thank you for contributing to my education. Special thanks are listed below to people who consistently answer my questions. I have many renders now and will be posting on a daily basis starting on Monday.

Special Thanks To:
Victoria Lee, Dr. Geep ( a P6 book is dedicated to him), Phil C. (who's profile appears in another book) Raven, Ochkman, Wolf359, and there's a guy who's avatar is a skinned man (I can't find your image, sorry, but thanks. If I forgot anyone, please forgive me.

Please spay and neuter your pets. Strongly consider shelter adoption before spending $500 to $1000. If you MUST part with that kind of money for a pet, go to your local shelter, donate the money to them and pickup a highly adoptable pet. The shelters could sure use the donation.

That's one of the great things about this place. I've never seen a newbie just huffed at (well.. with the exception of the "HEY WHERE DO I GET A SERIAL FOR MY POSER?")

Despite all the turbulence over time, this is still a super forum. And it's still the place I think of as "home" when it comes to forums.

That thanks should have included you TrekkieGrrl, but since I have your attention, could you help me out with one of your products? The morphing blanket, the one that comes with a plaid texture. I am trying to make it drape over a your old mattress using cloth dynamics. It drapes, however when added a MC6 to it there are blotches in the fabric pattern. Is it that I'm supposed to add the texture before clothifying? Or am I trying to use a prop in a way that's not meant to be used? If so, could you be so kind as to direct me to a tut for creating a "texturable" dynamic prop that can drape over your mattress. I know that I should use a primitive square, but which one and how do I add a MAT to it?  I am going to PM you to let you know I need help. Hope I don't bother with that.
Many Thanks in Advance,
Viper

It's the blanket, right? The one with the stripes in the ends? It doesn't really work as a dynamic thing because it's like a vvery flattened box really. So what you see, the blotches, is where the backside penetrates the front. (on the plus side: it has a matress morphs ;) )

You should use the Supermorphing sheet or the Supermorphing Square instead. You can add any MAT to that in the Material Room (if you need a plaid pattern, check out BB's Matmatic demos, there's some nice plaids in there)

You could also add some more material zones if you want stripes and then simply put a colouron each zone. There's an explanation of how to do that in THIS THREAD

Or, since you're using dynamics anyway, just use the High Rez square included in Poser, it's meant for dynamic drapings :) (those morphing blankets of mine were made back in the Poser 4 days, before dynamics)

Ditto to Trekkiegrrrl's advice.  The cloth room is difficult for some kinds of
clothing, but it works instantly and easily for draping a blanket over a body.
