Ok, I am looking for a bowling ball and a set of pins. NOT the whole alley LOL. If anyone knows of any free or pay, I would be most grateful :-)

I have a bowling alley that has both balls and pin props over at 3dcommune for $5. However looks like 3dcommune is down at the moment.

Hey Chris! Thank you and nice job. I'm going to post some realistic shaders for these.

I just did a quick test. (Click for full size) I made a couple mistakes here. The red ball is off the ground, and I messed up the floor shader. (I loaded a really old one that's not so good.) I need to re-visit my wood shaders. The render took 15 minutes on my crapo laptop so my workflow has to be more careful.

Anyway...

I'm not sure how you intended/did UV map the ball, but the bump and specular maps make a seam. You can clearly see it on the black one. I'll see if I can get a similar effect just using nodes, then the UV mapping won't matter.

Stay tuned.

Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)

The maps are not seamless, hence the seams 8^)  Although the UV mapping might need a little tweaking to.
