There should be a check mark for "Anti-alias" somewhere in the Tool Options
for text. Try that....

My CS2 does not have antialias available or I do not know how to access it so what you can do is open a new document window in the resolution and approximate size you want. IE: 200x200 at a resolution of 300, 800 dpi or what ever is necessary .Type in your text then copy the text to a new layer over your image and drag it where ever you want I'm no expert but this works for me if I use a font that is rough. TrueType fonts come out pretty smooth at any resolution.
unless it's changed, there are also adobe-type fonts (not truetype). Trying to remember what they're called, but you might just go through Photoshop (should be a fonts section) and see if there's anything native to it. I seem to remember that they might be vector-based (sizing doesn't distort them), but I've remembered a few things in my time wrongly...;)
I wish I'd said that.. The Staircase Wit

True Type fonts are vector-oriented too. Which software do you use for creating those textures, melz?

In all actuality, the best program to create text for Poser texturing is Adobe Illustrator. It gives better, sharper lines for such work. I use Inkscape for decaling images onto my textures and the best perk is it is free. It can be found here:
Slight learning curve but you will be satisfied with the results.

ok so i am having problems making the words i put on a texture look smooth i guess you can say. The pixels of the letters sort of look choppy and edgy. Dont know if i am explainingit right or not lol
