simple elbow and knee pads for M4. You know like ones wrestlers wear. The search continues but i feel it is a dead end.

Not for M4 or exactly for wrestlers - but theres some knee and elbow pads in the Judge Dredd freebie on my site (link above). 

Or try searching for skateboarding stuff in the store here - I have seen a set in that.

there is a few, mostly for V3 and V4. Do you think it would be hard to fit on M4?

Don't know about M4, but there's some on the swat outfit at planet vixens...or there were. might still be at baron harkonen (?).
