Been There done that - and spend a whole strday downloading :-( - daz3d sometimes cuts the connection and the i forget how much i've downloaded + they mix Mac and win files in a whole chaos + the filenames are not the same as the title on the link - so i probably miss 10% of the files sigh  :-( - but other than that - cooooool offer LOL

 Wow - I paid about that for all the Jonathan Allen's Seriously Real textures (which are well worth it).

And I couldn't agree more with Nazul, the download page can be quite confusing. Wish they'd set up some sort of Directory system, especially spliting off the Mac and PC versions.

 Went there...grabbed the free sample[sigh]a cool orbital scene I think, and came here to post about this great sale...hell of a deal if you got a spare 50 bux...guess I'm a late riser Sat. morning.. ...

Yeah - i had the same thought - is this the famous "last breath" for bryce???? - anyways regarding the mix of Mac and Win files - i should learn to read help text carefully - under download tips theres the followng paragraph:

"8. By default, downloads for both platforms appear in your 'Available Downloads.' You can change your preferences so that you are only seeing the Mac or PC files in your 'Available Downloads.' To do this, log into your account on our website. Click on 'My Account' in the upper right. On the left, click on 'Your Preferences.' On the new page, you will see a dropdown menu. In this menu, choose Mac only or PC only. Then click 'Submit' further down on the webpage. Now when you go to 'Available Downloads,' you will only see the downloads for the platform you have chosen."

I've started my downloading.  Wierd thing is, I left and came back and my page had expired I refreshed and my Download counts how 2 of 4  but I've only downloaded them once.

Yes the counter has gone hay-wire - when it timed out for me it stated when i logged in again that i tried to get a file i didn't have permission to - and then i removed two from the counter - :-( i am so sorry that it is DAZ3D that owns BRYCE

....and you better try to run the downloaded files - so far i have had 10 corrupted files out of 100 ! - it's of cause fixed with a re-download ...but man is that annoying !

Thanks for the Tips Nazul.  Part of the problem is, they dont allow download managers, which are used to avoid corrupted files.

Well - i disabled my download manager - but got corrupted files (unless you mean that one DONT get corrupted files when using a download manager) - but if i had used my manager maybe i shouldn't have spent the whole sturday downloading LOL

@ Nazul : Yes, it is very sad indeed that Daz owns Bryce.  A lot of my work is included in the download (they own it).  Bryce is the superior 3D app, out-performs Cararra, and decimates Studio.  I could not figure out why they spent so much time and money developing an app (Cararra) which they already had with Bryce. ?? Thank you for purchasing some Bryce stuff, even if this time it is from Daz, as it helps to keep Bryce pertinent to the 3D market.  Please forgive the plug for Bryceworks (for more content) found on a site elsewhere.  ;)  Keep on Brycing everyone!

Well, hopefully the Subject Header of the DAZ 3D newsletter that this offer comes in, is a hint which states "This is Only the beginning"

Sorry about the locking, but there has been some problems with guys advertising stuff that is not sold by this site. I thought it best to put evrything on hold till I got some advice. I know that wouldn't stop you guys using the links but it does call it to attention.

Phew!! downloaded them all.. that sure took a long time. :) now gotta test each one.

I always make a printout when I have a large amount of files to download so I can check on what I have in the directory and what is left. Also helps if I end up with corrupted files so I know which ones to reset. Never did understand why they don't name them what they actually are.

I actually don't get 4 downloads on this pack, once I refresh the page the ones I've downloaded or attempted to download are gone. Thank goodness I made the original list so I could check them and reset the ones I didn't get. I'm on sat so have to do all my heavy downloading between midnight and 3:00 when they don't count towards the FAP. If I could get anything but hughes net I would but the only alternative is dialup. Price I pay for living in the mountains.

Anyone else having a problem with their downloads timing out and then stopping? Not happening with any other site, thinking I may just delete the ones I did manage to get and get my money back.

The list I posted at the top of this thread is my list before I started downloading, I have no idea how it compares with everyone else.

I downloaded all of them, the only bug I had was, once I stopped the downloading and was gone for a while, the page would timeout and my already downloading files would show as 2 downloads remaining.

Marque I would call Daz and complain.

Bryce and Carrara have different but old lineages. Carrara was a Metacreations app, but it was based on the Ray Dream product, which they got when the merged/acquired Fractal Design (Fractal had acquired RDD previously to this).

I used RDD years ago, up through the Fractal stage. When Meta acquired it, they put out a terrible upgrade (basically tossing in some bug fixes and some third party add ons I already had), then shipped Carrara 1 - which was terribly buggy.
