Once you apply VSS to a figure texture, you can then go into materials and save the texture and node set up as a Material Collection. Then loading multiple figures and applying different material VSS collections to them would be a breeze.

The VSS Generic prop is programmed to target every figure you have in the scene. This can be good or bad, depending.
Loading a second control prop would not alter this, because the first control prop would still take charge of all figures. You have to alter the "Apply Rules" of the control prop to make it apply to only one figure or to a specific type of figure and so on.
Latexluv makes a good suggestion.
It's much easier to just load an isolated figure, use VSS to make it do what you want, then save the materials to your library for loading into your final scene, or re-loading that setup any time you want.

I would suggest applying VSS to your figure before conforming any clothing. I have done this to my favorite base models for V4 and M4 and saved them to my library so that skin shader is already set up and ready to go. I just pick a figure, bring it in and then conform clothing and pose.

After applying VSS to your figure, open the figure library where ever you keep your figure. You'll see a button that has a plus sign in it. Click that to save figure to the library. You can rename it to remind yourself (example: V4 Cloe VSS3) and save. This way, you've already got your figure with the skin texture and VSS setup ready to go.

The reason your bodysuit invisible part became white is due to the naming convention of the suit with M4 body parts. If skin appears as part of the suit's material group, synchronization will occur to every instance with that name. As BB replied, you can specifically target your model by changing the "Apply Rule" in the VSSProp with the name of the model. The procedures are clearly outlined in the manual.
Again, you have 2 recommendation to offset future problems, either save the particular texture set as a texture group in the Material Room or save your character as a new figure after the changes. I, myself, save the new figure, and if I modify the VSSProp, I save that as a new prop with a different name. In my library, I created a special prop for Nybras because I added additional rules to target the character's material groups.

If i have two figures in my scene, do i only have to load one VSS shader prop? Or do i need 2?
