www.outlawsdesign.com/psptubes1.html

if you look at this page, you will see a bunch of different ribbons and bows.  Does anyone know a product to use in Daz to make any of these?

I did ask the person who owns that site, and she told me I was rude to ask.

Greatly appreciate any help.

Thanks

Kerry

PS - I did see a freebie bow shown on the back of an Aiko dress in the freebie section, but I tried that and the client I'm working with didn't like it.

Those are all tubes and brushes, not 3d objects, so they have nothing to do with DAZ|Studio.

They were rude when you asked?  That is not only ignorant, but unprofessional-that alone will keep me away from **ANY **of their products, period.  Tsk, tsk-customer service, people.

I would, if I needed something like that, paint whatever I needed on my own.  ( I never use tubes, for me-what's the point? )  Save that as a .png file, and when you are in Studio make a primitive plane.  In your surfaces tab, click the arrow beside diffuse for the drop down menu.  Click on browse, and find your .png file.

Your bow-or whatever you wanted-should show up on that.  Beware, it'll be flat (like the tube itself) so keep that in mind when you make the original painting FOR your .png/plane.

*Example-Jepe's FlameZ or ElementZ.  Painted pieces on primitive planes.

I am sorry you have been treated like that.. yeah some of the people out there are rude .. and you aren't ..

Those tubes are for Paint Shop Pro (PSP) programs  and it is normally only used in 2D letters - signs - cards . Sometimes tubes and brushes can be used in Photoshop as well but most of the time it is for PSP

Kind regards

thank you all.  Yes, I know they are psp tubes that are shown, but I am looking for what would have been used to crete them to begin with - just the bow and ribbon parts, before being combined with other elements and being made into a 2D tube.

The person who runs this site uses Poser to create the bulk of her tubes.

I was hoping someone would know of a product for Poser and/or Daz Studio that creates bows like that, or something similar.

Thanks for the info on creating it with a plane.  I'll keep that in mind.

If you have photoshop, this script actually works great in making ribbons and bows.

thanks.  I don't have photoshop.  I have PSP.  Does anyone know if this product will work in PSP?

JenX ( ) posted Thu, 11 June 2009 at 12:53 PM

Since they're photoshop Actions, no, they won't.  All of the Bow Making scripts in the marketplace that I could find are Photoshop-only.

Another option you have is to find an outfit (there may be some in free stuff, read the readme to see if you can use commercially) with a bow you like, and make everything but the bow transparent, and render that on top of what you needed :)

thanks.  I don't even mind buying an outfit if it has a nice bow I can use on it.

ahh - looks like she took it down to prevent me from getting any help

just goes to show what a pleasant, helpful person she is

oh well - thanks anyway.

If anyone knows of a nice bow, high quality looking, that is part of any product, please let  me know.

thanks

Kerry

Have you done a search of freestuff here. As the Moderator over there I know I've approved at least a couple of worthy ones...worth a search I'd say.. ...
