Subject: Content management

Bonjour
I used Daz studio from time to time More often i prefer Poser pro 7
Recently with dynamic clothing plugin from DAz for Daz studio i have used more DS
The thing that bother me a lot and cause that Daz studio won't be more used by me is its poor content management window: hard to find the stuff i know it is there or in Poser runtime (yes i have indicate to DS where they are in preference directories) ) ,need to scan often for new stuff (and it take much and much time).etc
Hope DAz will make a better content finder
Am i alone with this ??

Hey

I does take some work to organize your content but I use category view and make my own structure. But agree it is extra work. You can also use an extra tool to help you find specific content based on keyword and stuff, i think it called content finder on the Daz site. Also I would use a special expand directory to unpack and check all content before uploading to Poser/Daz since in some cases vendors have screwed up layout also

People dont care what you know, until they know you care

Use Quad core with 8G memory & ATI 5770
Poser Pro 7 & Poser 8 Sr3
Daz 3.2 adv 64 bit

Thanks for the link (i begin the tutorial no 1) and comments
I can find my stuff in the folders using  Windows explorer.
My problem begin with DAZ studio interface when i want  to find in content or runtime the stuff i know they are there
So with the tutorial i will see about it
Maybe another problem come with the fact  that install majority of my stuff in Poser
Since i buy many content from DAZ  I also have DS file version but rarely install it in DS folder  thinking i will usee Poser ones (sav scene or stuff from libraries (pz2 or pzz ,lt2 or ltz etc)

Are you going into your Daz preferences and telling the directory for daz where your poser stuff is?
You need  to point the daz program to the proper content directories.

You can certainly do that. However, the DS files are usually material settings, which differ from the settings in Poser, and you may have to do some adjusting in the Surfaces Tab if your renders aren't looking quite right. I work strictly in "View Categories As List" and can take full advantage of D|S's content management system. I have mine customized in such a way that I can find everything without too much searching.
