Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 11 8:37 pm)
i did use magnetize clothing( a product called A4magnetfits if not mistaken). the result are not really good. oh yeah, here is the detail, i rigged the cloth by simply load the obj, and go into setup room n load aiko4 skeleton, n just simply auto group.... any other ways??? other than magnetize clothing!! (^o^) thanks for replying me !!! yeee haaa
Here is an example. This is 2 lots of Aiko4 with the basicwear bikini on. The one on the left is what happens when Aiko4 is posed. The one on the right was posed the same, but this time I applied the magnetize pose to the bikini, which fixes it. That is what the magnetize poses are for.
for v2, there is no jcmcollarbend. actually i just simply import an bikini obj and go to setup room, load v2 skeleton and click auto group . thats why the cloth itself does not have jcmcollarbend dials too. even if it does, the morphs does not affect the cloth. if u see the image, lots of morphs for bikini's collar, but it not functioning......
If I remember correctly V2 did not use JCMs.
I would double check that the Bikini is grouped to match the grouping of V2, i.e. that the collars of the Bikini closely match the collars of V2 etc. If not you should regroup the Bikini groups to match those of V2 more closely. Then I would check and adjust the Joint Parameters.
BTW, How did you created the morphs for the Bikini? Did you actually create matching morph in the Bikini with magnets, a modeling program or a 3rd party utility such as Morphing Clothes? Or did you just copy the morph data straight from V2, in which case the morphs will not work for the Bikini.

hi, im apologize for the late reply. anyway, yeah i just copy the morph data straight from v2. actually the way im creating cloth quite straight forward. i just load the obj file and apply the existing skeleton in setup room and just click the auto group button, thats why the morph doesn't work well. Now im on my way to create another cloth for Hermia(gloria 1.0). and now im really onto this problem, she does'nt even have deformer or jcm kind of stuff, how do i actually fix the poke through ?? any tutorial on how to rig figure well, so that the cloth deform with the figure's skin nicely?? :-D
If a figure does not use deformers or JCMs then to fix poke through you are going to need to adjust the Joint Parameters. Even then there may be time you just can’t get rid of poke through and you may want to consider adding your own morphs to fix poke through.
PhilC has a bunch of tutorials on rigging and JPs at his web site http://www.philc.net/index.php.
I see that Hermia is a custom morphed character for Gloria. So in order to get the clothes to fit Hermia you need to make the clothes to fit Gloria, then you need to add morphs in the clothes to match the Hermia Morphs in Gloria.
To match the morphs in a main figure such as Hermia you need to create matching morphs in the clothes. This can be done either with a utility program, using magnets or with a modeling program. For the most part I add morphs to clothes using Dimension3D’s “Morphing Clothes” utility for sale her at Renderosity. Morphing Clothes is super fast and mostly does a good job with morphs, but I do often find myself redoing some breast morphs with magnets. However, If I were going to sell the clothes I would use magnets. I would use one of the Magnets sets that Lyrra or Netherworks have for sale at DAZ as starting point and then tweak them magnets as needed for the best fit. For Gloria and especially for the Hermia custom morphs I don't know if you'll find any pre-made magnet sets. There are people who create the morphs using modeling programs , but I’m not one of them.
Also I nearly forgot, you could just model the clothes to fit Hermia. Then you wouldn't need to add morphs to the clothes. However, the clothes would not fit and Unmorphed Gloria and you might have more problems adjusting the JPs as you will have an unmorphed figure conformed to a morphed figure.

hi!!!
i''l try out the tutorials provided by philC. thanks a lots for the tipS!!
btw, what is joint parameter? where can i find it? did u mean joint editor?is it as easy as just adjust the dials at joint editor to improve the result?? and what kind of utility program or modeling program u know so far to fix the poke thru....
your helps are really appreciated!!!
