Impressing words that you found Joelgaine! I will keep them as well in my little collection of poems and wise sayings! I wish you all the best for moving to your new home - although moving is exhausting it can be fun as well. Dream something nice in your first night there, here we say that it can become true!

I always try to be a wise guy.  I mean wise man!  "wise guy" sounds none too good in certain sectors of the English speaking world. (ie:wisenhiemer, or criminal as in Mafioso)

Ahhh... Wisenheimer... That's a pretty nice term regarding what is said here (what comes close to the term wise ass).

By the way... as the Poser Forum and Gallery seems to be in need of some new banners and I am in the mood to create some I thought that we should have some with Antonia as well.
So I made these:

I am not sure if the second one will be accepted - but unfortunatly we do not have a bra or bikini yet... but I swear that if I would have used a different camera there would have been a bath towel, really.

And: That ruffle dress for Antonia is VERY nice, I like all those material zones that gave me the option to turn it into a 60s cocktail dress!

Great banners, SaintFox! I particularly like the first one. It would be very flattering if Antonia was accepted as a banner girl.

For the bits relevant to a bikini, the rig is final. The JCMs will change though, and I don't think the latest version I uploaded has the final foot rig.

If you don't mind the JCMs, I can upload a snapshot of the current version sometime this weekend, and you can work from that.

No real need to rush and don't worry about hands/feet, just when you have the core rig pretty nailed down.

SaintFox:  Love the reclining image. Do you have a bigger sized render of it? It is so nice I would love to see it larger even if not in the banner format. What dress is that she is wearing?

Fisty ( ) posted Thu, 25 June 2009 at 10:26 PM

I would like a bigger version too...  =)

SaintFox ( ) posted Thu, 25 June 2009 at 10:33 PM

Not yet - but give me up to two days and I'll render one. I will have to set up a different camera (this was rendered in the required ratio instead of cutting it out of a bigger render). I will post it here and later (and larger) to my gallery as well.

my clothing modeling skills are pretty gimpy and it has been awhile since I've dusted off hexagon but I have still kept following this thread and  decided to try to make a top for antonia. I don't think I plan on taking this any further if anyone wants the .objs just say so and i can send it to you. But I just have a couple of poke through issues in the non corset part of the top i just can't fix. Also I still have the priestes outfit which I did awhile back  and don't plan taking any further.

Now that my classes are over for the quarter, I made a conforming bikini bottom for Antonia.  I still need to add a few morphs to accomodate leg bends, twists, etc.  But for most poses, it looks great.  I'll try to make some other slinkier stuff too, just to tick off V4! -Dave

Those look great.

Just keep in mind that I'm working on brand-new JCMs for the leg bends, which will be quite different from the current ones. I've also changed the default shape of the crotch area, but there's a morph for that, which hopefully you can easily transfer to your figure. I'll post the new version as soon as it's ready, but Winter seems to make me tired, so I'm not getting much done after work these days.

I have been working again. :)
Just uploaded to the developer's site the promised edited texture set for Antonia.
odf found a few errors on path calls and I fixed those, added the missing fingernail and nail bump maps.

I got to hold my little grand daughter tonight for a spell.
Poor little one has some difficulty due to having amniotic fluid in her tummy.
So she has to be burped often and she hurts.

Now for a bit of rest, had a bad night with almost no sleep.

I think my thigh JCM odyssey is nearing its conclusion. There are still some slight crunches with certain poses, but I expect those to be smoothed out in the high-poly version. If all else fails, I can still try a two-stage morph for thigh x-rotate.

This is just a quick test render with SaintFox's texture and lights. Some artifacts due to low-poly and low-quality render. When the leg bends are finalized, we should have a look at the slight problems with the texture seams in the crotch area. I think it should be possible to export a posed figure from Poser of D|S as an obj file and use that to fix the texture in a 3d painting program.

I'm getting started with this just now, and I wanted to say your topology is really great.  I think I'd do things slightly differently at the thigh and the abdomen to follow the major muscles there but everywhere else is truly excellent, particularly the deltoid-to-pectoral polys.  Shape-wise this is very refreshing and normal.

I have one other very specific bit of feedback that I'll mail you as it's rather indelicate ;)

There's nothing wrong with how you did it at all, there's lots of human figure models that have things in common (not just among Poser figures).  If you'd modeled in those muscle lines it would have raised poly count significantly anyway, and not every purpose needs that kind of definition.  She's great modeling work, you should be proud.
