Aw.. Ryan O'Neal JUST proposed to her yesterday!

Way too many people take way too many things way too seriously.

I have CNN on right now and there is nothing about him passing. he was taken to the hospital for cardiac arrest

he's NOT dead yet as far as what I am hearing now.

this is from msnbc.com:

Michael Jackson rushed to hospital

DCArt ( ) posted Thu, 25 June 2009 at 5:07 PM

They just announced on the local news that TMZ first announced it and it was confirmed by Reuters.

geoegress ( ) posted Thu, 25 June 2009 at 5:08 PM

source is TMZ

matrix03 ( ) posted Thu, 25 June 2009 at 5:09 PM

I wouldn't believe everything TMZ said. it's a tabloid site.

matrix03 ( ) posted Thu, 25 June 2009 at 5:12 PM

MSNBC is reporting via the LA TIMES that Michael Jackson is in a COMA now.

OK just checking CNN now and they have confirmed the coma, and that family members are being called in to the hospital. Not sounding good at all.

matrix03 ( ) posted Thu, 25 June 2009 at 5:22 PM

Yes, I just heard on msnbc

TMZ has reported rumours before I just was waiting for the official word

jartz ( ) posted Thu, 25 June 2009 at 5:23 PM

Rest in Peace, Farrah and Michael. Two very different people, both stories very tragic and sad.

It's been confirmed. MJ is dead.

gagnonrich ( ) posted Fri, 26 June 2009 at 9:16 AM

I felt sadder over Farrah's death than Michael's. It's largely because his death has overshadowed hers--and his increasingly bizarre life had begun to eclipse his music. Michael Jackson's musical career was far bigger than Farrah Fawcett's acting/modeling career. I've still been surprised at the lack of time given on news programs to Farrah's life.

In the 70s, Farrah was nearly as iconic a figure as Michael was in the 90s. Michael's music will be a more enduring legacy than "Charlie's Angels". Farrah's red swimsuit poster became the biggest selling poster of all time and it was hard to pass a newstand in the 70s without seeing her face gracing a dozen or more magazines. Farrah's struggle with cancer made her a more tragic figure than Michael's self-inflicted problems. Michael Jackson, in the last few years, looked more like Lon Chaney's phantom than he did Michael Jackson. It's a lot harder to be sympathetic to somebody that butchered their face and life than somebody that became overwhelmed by fame and later couldn't recover that fame when she wanted it again decades later.
