Subject: Scene saving issues

myquad ( ) posted Thu, 09 July 2009 at 11:01 AM · edited Thu, 28 November 2024 at 6:39 PM

I'm making more complex scenes with lots of models and a figure as well.  After I have everything set and I like the scene, I save the scene (save as) and close out of the program so I can work on it later.  So far so good right?  lol
Well, when I bring up my scene again it comes up as a close up on an object and I have to completely reposition the entire scene.  Everything is in the right place, but I have to move everything back, over or up and down to get out of this close-up that comes up when I go to open my scene from the last time I worked on it.
Is there a trick to prevent this when I go to save the scene and close things down for the day?

I've looked through the Daz Studio manual and couldn't find anything about this in there.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Holly

Are you sure that you're looking t the scene through the same camera? Is it possible that you switched camera? You could create a new camera in order to avoid using the  default one or the Perspective view, the latter not being a real camera, and once you have the scene framed right, select the camera in the scene pane so that it becomes the active object and then  you can press 'Shift-L" to lock it. This will prevent any parameter to be changed until you unlock the object.
