Hi, When I try to open files the alphabetical order is reversed. Grrrrrrrr! It is doing my head in constantly thinking backwords.   Is there a cure for this? I am running Windows XP PRO 64bit. Must return to sanity. cheerio lululee

You probably have set that folder view . In windows explorer go to that folder and select view by name .

Tried right clicking in the prompt and choosing from menu different sorting order?

Try this:

(right) CLICK "Start" button (lower left corner of screen)

CLICK  "Explore"

[menu] View >>> "Details"

Click on >>>  "Name"

Don't like the order?  ... Click on "Name" again to reverse it. 😄

Still No win.
I can change the view at the prompt, but it reverts to the reverse next time i try to open a file.
I have changed all the drive folders to the correct order but it still reverts.
Boohoo.

This is too bizare. I have changed them in the menu "view".
It only occurs wehn I try to open a file. if I just look at the file structure the order is correct.
When opening a file, I can right click and reverse the order, but it does not hold for the next time.
Grrrrr!

Hi Chris,
Bless you my child! What a relief. It worked like a charm.
Thank you for saving my sanity and squashing the cockroach.
