She looks like she had implants.  So if you weren't going for the fake boob look, you might want to tweak that.  A larger, more detailed image would also be nice.

Her boobs look fine to me. I've never understood why people feel big boobed women don't exist in the real world. Some women have to do breast reductions. And as long as you can morph them to any size, within reason, who cares? I would like to see a flat chested  or near flat chest morph.

I also agree that we need more detailed and closer pics.

TZORG ( ) posted Fri, 10 July 2009 at 2:19 PM

From just that pic it isn't obvious to me that she has an implanted look to her

It's not the tool used, it's the tool using it

I don't mind the size, I was commenting more on the shape of them.

Miss Nancy ( ) posted Fri, 10 July 2009 at 4:53 PM

the boobs are o.k. IMVHO
in case anybody needs to know, when they put in a gel implant, it's a rounded shape, hence ya can't get pointy boobs with implants.  they just look like water balloons, basically.  they settle into a squashed hemispherical shape.  there are all kinds of ugly results, too.  kids are reading this, so I won't go into details.

however, the knee bend on the right leg appears to have too much curvature.  the other knee bend looks o.k.  it may be a matter of the perspective or focal length.

shuy ( ) posted Fri, 10 July 2009 at 5:05 PM

It is great.
Of course most important are boobs!!! Nobody noticed that it is figure which can bend thigh. There are only 2 in Poser - Antonia and Patorak's nameless girl.

Did you used second hip bone?

BTW silicon shape boobs are easier to morph.

 Patorak,

Is this "Plain Jane" or is this an advanced version of what you had been working on?  I like the way how she bends, and the sitting pose looks like a real statue!  I can't wait to see more.  I have some rough meshes for some clothes I am modeling for Antonia, but I could make them fit your character as well.  Good work.- Starkdog

lam2 ( ) posted Fri, 10 July 2009 at 6:19 PM

Hi Patorak,

She looks really good to me. I like the way she bends.
Shoulders and armpits area looks great, and particularly the buttocks and thighs look very nice and smooth, without the bulge.
The crotch area looks very natural.
And the abdomen is nicely sculpted.
Great!

May I see more pictures?

First of all I'd like to thank you for your inspiring comments and encouragement during my recent  foray into humanoid modeling. That is no trivial exercise.

Your hip / knee bends here are among the most realistic I've seen. Good work!

Was wondering if you had closeups of the faces.

Hi Starkdog

Thanks!  Truth is though,  if it wasn't for Doc Geep and his Robox tut these figures wouldn't exist.  As for Jane,  she evolved.  The Thing is actually plain Jane.  Here's the next freebie figure based on her mesh and rigging.

Hi Winterclaw

I can't go into much detail with out revealing her secrets.  Put it this way though,  she has breasts morphs that no other Poser figure has.

Hi EClark1984

Thanks.  Yes she has a no breasts morph,  had to use part of it to create a male character for her.  You can see more of it over at runtimedna.

Hi Miss Nancy

I'll keep that in mind during the tweaking stage.

Hi Drapak12

The hip bone is isolated in a sphere allowing the pelvis bone to control the area that is the hip in other Poser figures.

Hi Kirwyn

Thank You.

Hi Iam2

Thank you.  I'll be posting more pictures over at runtimedna.

Hi Replicand

This is a combo of her obese and sing morphs

RobynsVeil ( ) posted Sat, 11 July 2009 at 6:39 PM

Excellent work, Patorak... I'm impressed with the thigh bend, and the boobs are shaped somewhat reminiscent to ADP's Just Another Incredible Body for V3.
On the male morphs, very accurate chest morphs, bum and thighs might need a wee reduction.

Overall, incredibly good work! Well done.

Excellent work, patorak, but I have two critiques that you might consider. Your side view of the male full body morph shows an excessively large hip and upper thighs and this makes the figure seem womanly despite the absence of breasts. Also, regarding the uv map, have you considered that the face and body could have a more detailed texture if the uvs were arranged on separate maps?

Why do people need gender to define who they are?

Hi Odf

Thanks.  You know, you have set the bar very high with Antonia.

Can I ask you a question?  Does Blender import native Poser files or do you have to have a conversion like fbx or collada?

Hi Dale B

I'll include animation files.

RobynsVeil ( ) posted Mon, 13 July 2009 at 8:32 AM

Blender imports wavefront obj files. How many material zones get imported is the big limitation...

I got 22 material zones.  Is the limitation just with obj files?

RobynsVeil ( ) posted Mon, 13 July 2009 at 9:07 AM

Lisa Richie knows the answer better than I do as to what the limit is, but I thought I remember something about 16 or so... sorry I'm not much help. There's been a lot of work done on moving figures back and forth between Poser and Blender and not losing the groupings, but I think the material issue remains. Hope to have it fixed in 2.50.

Hello, Patorak

In version 2.49, I don't think it can import Poser native files outright.  I'm sculpting V4's face obj and importing them back to Poser.  I Googled the same information about Poser imports, and it says that it wouldn't import .pz files.  Now, for Collada, I'm guessing.  I haven't tried it yet.

Hi Jartz And RobynsVeil

Thanks for the info.  Have you all used the paint function in Blender?

jartz ( ) posted Mon, 13 July 2009 at 9:21 PM

I'm spoiling myself with the Sculpt function in Blender, with a few tweaks with Hex2.5.   I haven't tried the paint function at all.   What I do wish is that I can use it to paint textures seamlessly, just like ZBrush or DeepPaint.

Again, just wishing too.

Hey Patorak,

Nice going :)  In the spirit of helpfulness  the ears are abnormally small for this face.  You will find that tops of the ears  are  usually about level with the brows.
I also agree that  the hips of the male figure  needs to be squared rather than rounded and the curvature of the thighs can begin from the crease of the thighs down.

Trust this is of use :)

Thanks!  Here's male morph2.

lisarichie ( ) posted Thu, 16 July 2009 at 8:49 AM

Blender materials are limited to 16 per object.

If the material zones are critical you can circumvent this by using the separate by options in the import  object dialog. This does create other concerns depending on what you intend to do in Blender.

Collada import, while importing the skeleton and mesh, still requires a great deal of work and the methodology is different than Poser as weight painting of the blend zones is the primary technique used to control basic mesh deformation.

On to projection painting in Blender, this video tutorial cg.cgcookie.com/2009/06/18/projection-painting shows how to use the function.

I had a friend a couple years back but I let my arrogance and impatience ruin that friendship.  To this day I still regret what I did,  cause she was a great friend.  Cobaltdream,  if your out there,  I'm a so sorry,  please forgive me.

Now,  I promised her an exclusive ballet type dancer figure sans JCMs.  I intend to keep my promise.  Only thing is to work on that,  plus these other figures,  I'll need your help.

I'll e mail you tonight with the details.
